Over the last few years, Cheap Maggies, a resale store located in downtown Hoboken, has become a well-known part of the local retail scene. Back in late 2023, the store put up signage at 216 Washington Street signaling that the spot is closing. Recognized for its discounted brand items, locals were encouraged to support the shop while it remained open. Almost a year and a half after Cheap Maggies announced its impending closure, the store is now officially closed on Washington Street. What We Know
Local pedestrians and passersby may have noticed the red and yellow sign reading “STORE CLOSING! EVERYTHING MUST GO!” hanging in the storefront of Cheap Maggies on Washington Street that was originally put up back in November 2023.

Although the closing signage was up and a source close to the company confirmed its closure back in 2023, The Hoboken Girl did not know the official closing date when we first reported on it. Almost a year and a half after the original announcement, a member of the HG team walked by the Washington Street storefront this past weekend to find that Cheap Maggies has officially closed. The store is completely emptied out, and signage at the former Hoboken location now directs shopper to the Morris County store, located at 3195 US-46 in Parsippany.

The Parsippany location is a more recent adaptation of the Cheap Maggies portfolio that commenced in 2020.
