Amidst all the chaos of this pandemic also exists a national blood shortage. Luckily, locals are stepping up to the plate to donate blood and give back during this difficult time. All over Hudson and Bergen County, blood drives are popping up — and quickly filling up, considering that they are on an appointment-only basis to comply with social distancing guidelines. Due to the severe shortage of blood that our country is facing, blood drives + blood donors are in critical need — and are deemed safe by the U.S. Surgeon General.
