About the New Location
Empyrean Bistro + Bar’s location at 20 Hudson Place, right by the Hoboken PATH, has become a familiar stop for commuters and locals. It’s one of our favorite spots to grab Indian food in the Mile Square, and now there are more opportunities to indulge. Empyrean has opened a second spot at 800 Jackson Street, which is bringing a totally different experience to 800 Jackson Street.
The new location features a decorated interior, modern architecture, and a setting made for our favorite kinds of nights out: a date, group dinner, or celebration. Empyrean has also joined the list of Hoboken spots with open outdoor patio dining (perfect for this time of year!). It’s also convenient in its own right, being just off the 9th Street Light Rail. And FYI: there’s no reason to worry about parking, either – Empyrean features free validated garage parking access.
The Menu
The menu at Empyrean Bistro + Bar is a diverse one, with a focus on various traditional North Indian and Mughlai recipes. The Empyrean team shared with HG that the concept is “reimagining traditional Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist”, and that reflects in the various dishes, from the tandoori to its various curries, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
The new location at 800 Jackson Street will still feature popular menu items, including tikka tacos, clay-oven tandoori, and rasmalai, as well as new additions such as tofu tikka masala. The menu is also full of unique, smoky cocktails, including the Mumbai Mule, which is made with vodka, ginger beer, lime juice, and Indian spices, and the Delhi Spicy Mojito, which includes mint, lime, rum, and a spicy Indian masala kick.
