The end of the year is approaching, which means one thing: the Best of Hoboken and Jersey City 2023 Guide is back! In a blink of an eye, 2023 is almost over — and now is the best time to think about all of your favorite local businesses and nominate them for an award. As always, we have lots of categories for Hoboken and Jersey City, ranging from the ‘Best Date Night Spot’ to ‘Best Hair Salon’ to ‘Best Pet Groomer’ and more. These reader-selected awards give businesses bragging rights for months (and sometimes years) to come. Best of luck to all the local businesses — and don’t forget to nominate your favorites!
This year’s Best of Hoboken + Jersey City 2023 Guide is brought to you by our sponsors Blast 7D + Mile Square Theatre.
Blast 7D — located at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford — is the world’s first fully interactive ride experience that incorporates seven different dimensions to make it really feel like you’re in the game. The 12 full-motion seat theater takes 3D technology and adds acceleration, motion, wind, and the element of competitive play as you blast on-screen “bad guys” to get the high score and there are five separate ride experiences — both scary and not scary. Mile Square Theatre is a non-profit theater located at 1400 Clinton Street in Hoboken and its mission is to enrich and engage the community through theater and innovative arts education with a variety of professional theater shows throughout the year — including shows for young audiences and an annual festival of plays. In addition to four main-stage shows per year, special events, and fundraisers, MST also provides an array of arts education courses to the children and adults of Hudson County.
Readers can nominate any businesses, people, and places for each respective category from now through 11:59PM on Tuesday, November 14th. Once we count the votes, we’ll be announcing the top three finalists in each category. Then, from those top-tier choices, readers will vote again to select a winner.
Finalists will win a decal sticker to display on their storefronts as well as accolades on our website for all to see. View the 2022 winners here.

Nominate any business or person in any category you’d like, now through 11:59PM on Tuesday, November 14th. Readers can nominate businesses in one, a few, or all categories.
Directions:
- Scroll down below to enter your name + email. You will then be directed to a new page where you will see this year’s category dropdowns — everything from wellness to fitness to food to beauty and beyond.
- Fill out your favorite business for each category. You can nominate as many businesses in as many categories as you’d like — there is no limit, you just have to fill out the form for each business.
That’s it! We’ll do the tallying from there.
The official polls displaying the top three finalists in each category will be live in late-November — where you can vote again for the winner to take home the title. We’ll announce the winners in each category in mid-December.
