This month, special arts events have taken place throughout Hoboken. It’s all a part of Hoboken Art Month, a five-week celebration of Hoboken’s arts and cultural heritage presented by the City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Business Alliance. Residents have been participating in workshops, attending events, and visiting artists’ studios. The last event of Hoboken Art Month — the Artists’ Studio Tour — was recently announced and locals can enjoy a free, self-guided art walking tour on Sunday, November 3rd. Event Details
To highlight Hoboken’s artistic spirit, the month-long celebration showcased local artists, arts-based businesses, and creative practitioners from Northern New Jersey. The goal of hosting Hoboken Art Month is to “[connect] creatives and businesses to bring beautiful art in many forms for people of all ages to experience,” Roxanne Earley, the Executive Director of the Hoboken Business Alliance, said in a press release.

The City has been filled with public art, live performances, workshops, and more all month. There was different cultural activations throughout the city during Hoboken Art Month, and residents were encouraged to engage with the various exhibits.
Per Hoboken Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla, the celebration also highlighted the City’s “commitment to supporting public art while simultaneously stimulating our local economy.”
Families, local residents, and fellow artists are encouraged to attend the remaining events including:
- Music in Motion: Live music performances every Tuesday from 6PM to 7PM.
- Art Workshops: Registration for free art workshops at the Hoboken Public Library, including modern, calligraphy, fluid art, pastels, floral bouquets, and more every Wednesday from 6PM to 7:30PM.
- Performing Arts Events: Live dance and theater performances on October 31st at Sinatra Park Amphitheater from 12PM to 1PM.
- Storefront Art Walk: A self-guided tour of Hoboken’s public art installations.
- Artist in Residence Community Art Workshops: Granny squares and flowers for a crochet mural installation workshops every Tuesday from 10AM to 12PM at Fox Hill Gardens (no prior registration required) and the Hoboken Public Library.
- Artists’ Studio Tour: A self-guided Artists’ Studio Tour featuring over 35 local galleries, artists’ studios, murals, and group exhibitions, featuring artwork by more than 100 talented artists hosted in partnership with Neumann Artists Inc.
