Episode 6: Rob Lawless of Rob’s 10K Friends

This week for our Tea on the Hudson podcast feature segment, Jen sits down with Rob Lawless, a current Hoboken resident and the creator of the project @Robs10Kfriends — who is on a quest to have a 1-hour meeting with 10,000 people. Rob shares the story of how he started this daunting project {which now has ultimately become his full-time job} after leaving the corporate world, his Hudson County experience, and the most profound lessons he’s learned meeting with so many unique people.

For the lifestyle segment, Jen also has Sara from House of Healer on to discuss an astrologer she loves in NYC and what a reading entails.

We end with a hidden gem Italian spot in Jersey City to check out, a new feature of a unique “getaway” within driving distance from Hudson County, and our Hudson Hero/Zero. Last, but not least, of course — the non-profit you must donate to this week: Love For Haiti, co-founded by a local resident.

Jen is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of HobokenGirl.com. With deep entrepreneurial roots in Hudson County — as her grandparents owned textile businesses on Tonnelle Ave in North Bergen dating back to the 50s — she started the site as a Hoboken resident to discover the amazing things happening in the area. When not planning the next Hoboken Girl event or #HobokenGirlHelps volunteer project, she can usually be found shopping at local boutiques, eating an Insta-worthy meal, walking her two pups, or watching Bravo TV and ordering takeout with her husband.
