If you’re looking for ways to give back in Hoboken and Jersey City this month, you’re in luck! Check out upcoming volunteer opportunities and fundraising events right here {including Hoboken Girl’s own Formal Dress Drive!} —  no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow required. Remember to come back throughout the month for added events. Here is the list of March 2018 volunteering opportunities in Hoboken and Jersey City, so you can get involved. 

12th Annual USH Casino Night at the Elks Club: Saturday, March 3rd at 7:30pm

Try your luck at the United Synagogue of Hoboken’s 12th annual Casino Night at The Elks Club. No need to head down to Atlantic City to get your gaming fix, all your favorite casino games will be right in town, including roulette, blackjack, craps, and poker. For the non-card sharks among us there’s also dinner, an open bar, music, and a 50/50 raffle! Tickets are $85 and include dinner, drinks, prizes, game play and your 1st 50/50 ticket. Panera Fundraiser Benefiting Boston Children’s Hospital: Monday, March 5th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm

Need an excuse to indulge in some delicious carbs? Grab some friends and head over to Panera on March 5th to support Miles for Miracles and the Boston Children’s Hospital. Print out this flyer or show the Facebook page on your phone and 20% of your order will be donated to these amazing organizations. More information here

Kundalini Brie Pop Up Breathwork + Vitality Workshop: Monday, March 5th from 7:30pm – 9:00pm

Clear your mind and start your week off on the right foot with a breathwork and vitality workshop to support the #NeverAgain march. The workshop consists of a breathwork practice, a kundalini yoga kriya and an active mediation set with breaks built in and refreshments included. York Street Project Celebration of Hope at The Liberty House: Thursday, March 8th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Start your weekend off early with York Street Project at the Liberty House. Celebrate their work and the families on the journey out of poverty to independent living. Cocktail hour starts at 6:00pm with a live band, open bar, and passed hors d’oeuvres followed by dinner and a special program paying tribute to Jack Egan who is being awarded the Sister Kristin Funari Legacy of Hope Award. Tickets are $175 and can be purchased here, along with other ways to support the event.

Liberty Humane Society Yappy Hour at Ale House: Friday, March 9th at 7:00pm

Both you and your pup deserve a night on the town after a ruff week {get it?} so head on over to the Ale House for this month’s Yappy Hour. Snag a $5 wristband to get drink specials and an extended happy hour all night. RSVP here.

SPESH Childhood Cancer Fundraiser Benefiting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation at Northern Soul: Saturday, March 10th from 3:30pm – 6:30pm

Join SPESH in raising money to support Childhood Cancer research at Northern Soul. The steps are simple: head to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation page, search “SPESH”, make a donation, and get over to Northern Soul on March 10th where @stephenspesh will be buzzing heads at the bar {maybe bring your bf or a guy friend for that part!}. St. Francis Church 6th Annual “A Wing and a Prayer” Cook-off at the Elks Club: Saturday, March 10th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Calling all chicken wing connoisseurs! Your services are needed to judge the best chicken wings in Hoboken at the 6th Annual “A Wing and a Prayer” cook off. Dive into all you and eat wings from Hoboken faves like Carpe Diem {reigning champ!} Antique Bar and Bakery, Biggie’s, Finnegan’s, Green Rock Bar & Grill, The Madison Bar & Grill, Napoli’s, Northern Soul, The Shepherd & The Knucklehead, Tony Boloney’s, Union Hall and Village Pourhouse – and submit your pick for the Best Wings in Hoboken. Tackle Kids Cancer at Atlas Public House: Thursday, March 15th from 5:30pm – 9:30pm

Christina Nalbone {who is running in the United Airlines half marathon in NYC this month} works at a children’s hospital and witnesses the impact that childhood cancer has on children almost every day. This is why she is running in the marathon and hosting this event to raise money for Tackle Kids Cancer. The 21+ event will take place at the Atlas Public House in Jersey City. There will be a $15 donation cover charge that includes food and drink specials and live music. If you can’t make it but still want to donate, click here.

Party with a Purpose Night at the Jersey Boardwalk Benefit at Birch: Thursday, March 15th from 7:00pm – 10:00pm

Dreaming of summer days down the shore? No need to wait until MDW, get your Jersey Boardwalk Fix at Birch with Party for a Purpose. Enjoy great music, themed drinks and apps, a silent auction and boardwalk faves like a tarot card reader and caricaturist while celebrating over 15 years of Party with a Purpose and $600K donated to local charities. You’ll also get a chance to meet and network with some of the local organizations served. Tickets are $80 and can be purchased here

Layups 4 Life March Madness Viewing Party at the Ainsworth: Saturday, March 17th at 2:00 PM  

Layups 4 Life is making its return to the The Ainsworth for a day of basketball, fundraising, and a St. Patty’s Day Celebration with drink and food specials Starting at 2pm, the purchase of a $10 bracelet at the door will get you access to the best specials in Hoboken. Proceeds raised on this day will go towards fundraising efforts that benefit cancer research, clinical trials, and supporting cancer research institutions.

Jaclyn Fulop & EPTG’s Spay/Neuter Fundraiser at Corgi Distillery: Wednesday, March 21st from 7:30pm – 9:30pm

Join Jaclyn Fulop and Drew Nussbaum of Exchange Physical Therapy Group in raising money for the Liberty Humane Society. Proceeds from the evening at Corgi Distillery {perfect spot for a doggy fundraiser!} will support LHS’s mobile spay and neuter program. Tickets are $25 and sponsorship opportunities start at $500. Hudson County CASA Annual Wine Tasting at Maritime Parc: Friday, March 23rd from 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Sample delicious wines, enjoy sweets and eats, and support Hudson County CASA while taking in beautiful views from Maritime Parc. Bid on exciting prizes like Broadway shows and getaways at the silent auction and make sure to visit the bubbles room. Bonus for your DD – parking is free! Snag tickets and get more info here. 

Hoboken Girl Formal Dress Drive + Fundraiser at the Multi Service Center of Hoboken: Saturday, March 24th from 11:00am – 3:00pm  

Have a ton of bridesmaid dresses gathering dust at the back of your closet? Wore your go-to party dress too many times last year to be tagged in any more pics on Facebook? Then you’re in luck! Our formal dress drive is back this year and it’s better than ever. Stay tuned for donation drop off locations and be sure to join us at the Multi Service Center of Hoboken to shop to support Suits for Success  read more about donating and get your early RSVP in here! The event is open to the entire community of Hudson County this year, and 100% of proceeds and funds raised go to Suits for Success.

Wise Animal Rescue Fundraiser at Talde: Saturday, March 24th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm  

Spend a night on the town with Wise Animal Rescue. Head to Talde for a night of drinks and dancing. Auction baskets are filled with gift cards to local haunts and you’ll have a chance to shine in the photo booth. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. 1 ticket includes 2 auction items and 1 drink. Additional auction tickets and drinks available. Get ’em here.

Boys + Girls Club 125th Annual Dinner at Liberty House: Tuesday, March 27th
