Trucks with Paramount Players and film crews could be seen by Marineview Plaza and near the W Hotel in Hoboken the last few days, and many readers have been inquiring — so of course we have to share the details. There’s a horror movie is being filmed in Hoboken starring Mare of Easttown actor Sosie Bacon this week. Here are the details of what we know.

The film, written and directed by Parker Finn, is based on the short “Laura Hasn’t Slept,” according to Variety, centering on a doctor who slowly loses her mind following a scary supernatural occurence.
The logline reads: “After a bizarre, traumatic event involving a patient, a psychiatrist begins to experience terrifying occurences that only she can see, and grows increasingly convinced that she’s being pursued by a malevolent supernatural force.”
According to Variety, Temple Hill is producing for Paramount Players, which is “a division of the studio that creates genre films from contemporary voices.”
Sosie Bacon, who yes, is the daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, is the star. She has been featured in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, Narcos: Mexico, and most recently playing Carrie Layden in Mare of Easttown.
