• Out and About: Hoboken Girl Events Recap {Aaraa, WiO, and Lulu’s Socials}

    It’s been a busy few weeks in Hoboken {filled with champagne and friends} — so we thought we’d fill you in on what we’ve been up to:

    Aaraa‘s Bridal Event

    It was a night of accessorizing, sipping vino, and prepping for the big day. Hoboken brides for all corners of the mile square were in attendance for the EVJ Wedding Co hosted event — featuring bridal influencers Jessica of Dressed by Jess, Alexandra of The Bloginista, Jenn of The Hudson Cakery, and Jen, Editor of Hoboken Girl. Each bride presented a mood board of her wedding style complete with affordable and adorable accessories for brides-to-be to peruse and participate in a Q&A. Such a fun time had by all — if you haven’t stopped into Aaraa {408 6th Street}, you must!

    Work It Out’s BYO-Beau Bridal Bootcamp

    Work It Out‘s River Studio hosted BYOB-eau, that is — and boy, was it a workout! Brides-to-be and their partners participated in a brides and bubbly bootcamp led by Vanessa of WiO. Drills included trampoline jumps, burpees, and a ton of other sweaty-yet-totally-necessary workout moves to get everyone looking their best — finished off with some bubbly, of course! Can’t wait to get back to WiO for a workout soon!

    Lulu’s #HobokenGirlSocial

    If you’ve been searching the #HobokenGirlSocial hashtag, you’ll see that it’s been up to quite a lot lately. On June 10th, HG partnered with Lulu’s in the W Hotel {Pier 13’s sister bar} to host a Prosecco and Pampering night out! Over 250 ladies attended, taking part in the event’s pampering stations — eyebrow threading, henna tattoos, skinny wraps, makeup tutorials, chair massages, skin mapping and consults, an Alex & Ani table — and of course, prosecco! Jackraffit {a mobile fundraising and giveaway service} was there to host all of the night’s giveaways {no raffle tickets needed!}, and Carolyn D’Elia was also present to perform some beautiful songs on her keyboard {with a beautiful skyline backdrop, no less}.

    Here are some photos of the event — can’t wait for the next one!

    Jen is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Hoboken Girl. She started the site to discover and share the wealth of things happening in Hudson County. Her roots in the area extend to her maternal grandparents, who owned two textile factories in Weehawken and North Bergen. When not planning the next Hoboken Girl event/volunteer project or editing her life away, she can usually be found shopping at local boutiques, eating an Insta-worthy meal, walking her French bulldog + rescue pup, or watching the latest murder doc on Netflix with her husband.
