Hoboken
8th Street Tavern | 800 Washington Street
Singin’ Sunday Funday at this local bar and grill includes karaoke from 6PM-11PM, $5 Miller High Lifes, half-priced frozen drinks, and Seltzer + Surfside buckets for $35.
Green Rock | 70 Hudson Street
You might think Green Rock is just a favorite spot for watching sports, but the bar also hosts karaoke nights. Head over on a Thursday and enjoy singing along with half-priced drinks.

House of ‘Que | 340 Sinatra Drive
House of ‘Que isn’t just known for its saucy barbeque — it’s also a fun hotspot to perform karaoke. While this might technically be karaoke, we hear some very skilled people will pop in and perform.
Madd Hatter | 221 Washington Street
Karaoke Wednesdays at Madd Hatter is where one can compete for the best singer of the night — the local bar calls it the best karaoke night in Hoboken. Plus, enjoy half-priced fish bowls all day long.
Mike’s Wild Moose Saloon | 92 River Street
At Mike’s Wild Moose Saloon, every Thursday is Country Karaoke Night, featuring low-priced drinks and great tunes sung by the crowd.
Mulligan’s Pub | 159 1st Street
You might think Mulligan’s Pub is just a favorite for watching sports or partaking in dart and billiard leagues, but they like to laugh. too. Head over on a Tuesday or Thursday and you might catch a comedy night.
Jersey City
Brightside Tavern | 141 Bright Street
Tommy Parisi, the owner of Brightside Tavern, is known to take the stage on occasion at one of these special music nights. This local favorite has many nights for all types of performers. If you are a fan of jazz music, bring your instrument (or just yourself) and head over for a jazz jam session on Mondays. Musicians and singers alike will take the stage together and perform. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and/or Sunday nights, there is an open mic and karaoke. If you don’t want to use the bar’s piano for your performance, feel free to sing to a karaoke song with the room’s ten-foot-tall screen.

Grove Station | 116 Newark Avenue
Grove Square is in such an easily accessible location, being just steps away from the Grove Street Path Station. Karaoke is held seven days a week here and is held in the basement which has a cozy vibe and bright stage to sing your heart out, or comedy if that’s more your style.
Six 26 Lounge + Rooftop | 128 Christopher Columbus Drive
The vibes are always fun at this lounge and rooftop, which makes it the perfect spot for performing. Stop by Six 26 on Wednesday nights for karaoke night. In case you needed any other reason to go, there are specials including $5 well shots, $5 White Claws, and half-price house wine from 8PM to close on Wednesdays, too.
Alts, a NYC-Based Alteration Company, Opening in Hoboken This Spring
New York City may be the big apple of the East Coast, but Hoboken is just as juicy with the plethora of new businesses opening in 2025. As an exciting addition, Alts, an NYC-based tailoring company providing services like bridal alternations (yes, that includes bridesmaid's dresses, a frequent query in the HG Facebook Group), custom clothing, and more, is making its way across the Hudson. Formerly known as Alteration Specialists, this company has plans to open at 530 Washington Street in Hoboken this April. Alts, a premier, full-service tailoring company with roots in Manhattan and Brooklyn, has announced its plans to open in Hoboken at 530 Washington Street. The team behind this business shared that they are in the early stages of remodeling and hope for an early April opening date, although it could be delayed due to unforeseen renovations.

The spring opening in Hoboken will be the company's first New Jersey location. "This marks a key milestone in our efforts to expand beyond New York City, starting with a location that complements our 14 existing studios across Manhattan and Brooklyn," Courtney Poole, Marketing + Expansion Associate at Alts, shared with The Hoboken Girl.

Alts was founded in 2014 in New York City and quickly rose to become one of the best alternation companies in the area. Providing services like standard and bridal alterations and custom clothing, publications like Vogue, Forbes, Harper’s Bazaar, and Refinery 29 have reported on its exemplary work. In 2019, Vogue titled Alts “New York’s Most Genius Tailor."
According to its website, the tailors and seamstresses at Alt work with a wide range of materials, from leather to denim to wool to fur. Courtney shared with HG that the company works with "classic garments to the most complicated, luxurious fabrics on the market."
Sustainability is also an important practice at this company. With alternations and tailoring being the core of Alts, "environmental and community impact is central to every decision [it] make[s]," as per its website.
Hoboken locals can expect the same kind of work and practices at its Washington Street location in April.
