In the Hoboken and Jersey City area, the arrival of fall isn’t just marked by the changing of leaves and the pumpkin wave sweeping through coffee shop menus – it’s the return of beloved local festivals that only happen in the autumn months. Taking place at The Common Earth Company, located at 99 Monticello Avenue in Jersey City, the third annual Monticello Fall Festival is promising a day of family fun and fall-related activities on October 19th. Event Details
The annual Monticello Fall Festival will return to the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood on Saturday, October 19th, from 11AM to 3PM. The event is hosted by local educator, event host, poet, curator, and community organizer Millicent Anasha, in partnership with health, wellness, and lifestyle brand The Common Earth Company. Operating as a free, family-friendly celebration of the fall season, this will be the festival’s third installment.

“Over the past three years, this event has become an urban pumpkin patch experience filled with joy, creativity, and connection, and we’re working hard to make this year’s festival our biggest and best yet,” the Monticello Fall Festival team shared with The Hoboken Girl.
This year’s festival will feature pumpkin picking, arts + crafts stations, face painting, caricature art, a trunk-or-treat, a photo booth, light bites and refreshments, and more. DJ J Yemi will also be in attendance, spinning tracks for all attendees to enjoy. As a unique installment of this year’s event, the festival will also include an opportunity for eager readers to register for a library card if they haven’t yet.
The festival team is currently seeking monetary donations to help provide free pumpkins + craft materials for kids, entertainment, art stations, family activities, and refreshments + supplies. For more on donations, see this link.
