“A hole in one!” The best feeling right? Mini golf can definitely be classified as a competitive sport for all ages. Created almost 110 years ago, minigolf was considered a man’s sport, as it was considered unladylike for women to participate. Fast forward decades and mini golf is now a great family game, date night activity, or a way to sharpen up your putting skills. Mini golf has evolved and there are now thousands of courses around the country and world. If you are looking to get out of Hoboken for a fun day or night, here is a comprehensive list of mini golf courses in North Jersey.

Essex County Safari Mini Golf | 9 Cherry Lane, West Orange

Essex County Safari MiniGolf is located in the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo. It is a 19-hole course full of statues of a life-size gorilla, hippo, and many other African creatures. Pricing for adults is $12, children $10, and seniors $10. The hours are Friday 4PM – 7:30PM and Saturday and Sunday 10AM to 8PM. 

Paramus Mini Golf | 314 Paramus Road, Paramus

Paramus Minigolf is located in the Paramus Golf course. It is an 18-hole course with large figurines, making it cute for children and families. Pricing for adults is $8, children $5, and seniors $5.  The hours are Thursday and Friday 4PM – 9PM and Saturday and Sunday 10AM to 9PM.

Blacklight Mini Golf | 1 American Dream Way, East Rutherford

Blacklight Mini Golf

Blacklight mini golf is located inside the new American Dream Mall in East Rutherford. Visitors can experience “out of this world blacklight minigolf” with the whole family. Pricing for all guests is $20 for 18 holes and the group size is limited to four people. There is a senior citizen discount at $18. The hours are Monday – Thursday from 11AM – 9PM, and until 10PM on Saturdays. 

Willowbrook Golf Center | 366 US 46 Service Road E, Wayne

Willowbrook Golf Center offers a beautiful 36-hole course with 15ft and 30ft waterfalls and greenery.  Putters can play either 18 or 36 holes. Pricing for adults is $10, children $8, and seniors $8 for 18 holes. For 36 holes adults are $15, children are $12 and seniors are $12.The hours are 7AM – 10PM daily.

Monster Mini Golf | 49 E Midland Avenue, Paramus

Monster mini golf is an 18-hole, glow-in-the-dark course. Decorated with witty, comical, and relatable pop culture artwork, the course is also interactive with monsters at every twist and turn. Pricing for adults is $12, children $11, and seniors $9. The hours are Monday – Thursday 2PM – 9PM, Friday 2PM  – 10PM, Saturday 12PM – 10PM, and Sunday 12PM – 8PM. 

Skyline Mini Golf | 600 Main Street, Woodbridge

Skyline Minigolf is an 18-hole course in Woodbridge with beautiful views of the NYC skyline. The course has water obstacles along with uphill putting greens, bringing the game to another level of competitiveness. Pricing for adults is $7, children $5, and seniors $5 for 18-holes. The hours are Sunday – Thursday 12PM – 9PM and Fridays and Saturdays 12PM – 10PM.
