Let’s be honest, we’ll take any excuse to go out and have a great time with friends – but the best part about Super Bowl Sunday is that whether you’re a football fan or not, we all have one thing in common: we’re huddled around a screen somewhere with a cold beer in one hand and wings in the other {puppy bowl or Super Bowl}. No matter which team you’re rooting for this year, bring Houston to Hoboken with our guide to Super Bowl LI {2017} in the Mile Square, which features some of the best spots to watch the game {aaand some pro tips for those of you who are totally not leaving the house – because if you can’t get out to your favorite sports bar, why not bring the bar right to your couch}? Here is your complete guide to celebrating the Super Bowl LI in Hoboken [a running list – we’re updating as specials come through!].

The Ale House {1034 Willow Ave, Hoboken}

The Ale House just gets us – because why share a pitcher when you can get a $5 personal pitcher of Bud Light, PBR, or Bronx Banner Ale all to yourself? {or 2 for 1 Miller Lite bottles: this calls for double-fisting}. And seriously, who doesn’t love a chance to win giveaways & raffle prizes?

Biggies Clam Bar {36-42 Newark Street, Hoboken}

A big game calls for big celebrations — and for seafood lovers, you’re in luck. On Super Bowl Sunday, Biggies will be offering $5 glasses of sangria, $15 sangria pitchers, beer towers, and $1 off all draft beers.

Black Bear Bar & Grill {205 Washington Street, Hoboken}

With not one but 50 screens to catch the Falcons vs. the Patriots on, you won’t miss a beat – not even while you’re ordering your $5 Blue Moon pints, $6 Jacks, $6 Manmosas, or $11.99 Coors Light pitchers. You heard it: killer drink specials and a chance to win raffle prize if you’re one of the first 100 people to get there. If you want a chance to win Rashad Jennings’ signed helmet, an Eli Manning signed football jersey, a Sterling Shepard signed football, or a hi-def TV, we know just the place.

Cadillac Cantina {80 River Street, Hoboken}

Tacos & tequila? Si, senorita! Every night at Cadillac is a fiesta, especially with an all day happy hour, so why not go for game day? Plus, who are we kidding – we can’t say no to Mexican food.

Zap Fitness

Cooper’s Union {104 Hudson Street, Hoboken}

Wings and a pitcher combo? Shotskis? Yes plz. Cooper’s is offering a $20 special featuring wings and your choice of Miller Lite or Bud Light pitchers, $10 for each additional pitcher and Super Bowl squares for your chance to win some pretty cool giveaways. They also have shuffleboard, which makes for some fun downtime while you’re waiting for the game to return {or aren’t into the commercials…but that’d be weird}.

Grand Vin {500 Grand Street, Hoboken}

If you’re feelin’ fancy, no worries: head to Grand Vin for Superbowl Steak Night. If bar food isn’t you thing, $5 draught beer & $20 steaks will def satisfy your Super Bowl cravings.

Green Rock Tap & Grill – {70 Hudson Street, Hoboken}

Okay, we know it’s Super Bowl Sunday — but Sangria Sunday is definitely still a thing. Lucky for us, Green Rock will have $15 rose or red sangria carafes from 11 am to 1 pm {the perfect Superbowl pregame, if you ask us}. And if you’re the traditional type, you can go for a $12 pitcher and .50 cent wings from 12 pm to 7 pm.

Hotel Victor Bar & Grill – {77 Hudson Street, Hoboken}

Hotel Victor is a great spot to watch the game if you’re not looking for a place that’s too overpacked — but close to the PATH for your NYC friends to meet you in town. They’ve got some awesome football specials: $12 Coors Light/Yuengling/Bud Light pitchers, $15 Coors Light/Bud Light/Miller Lite buckets, or $20 Corona buckets. And even better: a free light buffet from 5 to 9 pm.

House of Que {340 Sinatra Drive, Hoboken}

House of Que is opening at 12 pm on Sunday for some killer beat the clock specials, and if this Pigskin Party is wrong then we don’t want to be right. Come early to snag 50 cent Coors Light drafts {they’ll be increasing by 50 cent every hour up until kickoff, so come ASAP}, $5 pulled pork sliders from 2 pm to kickoff, and live entertainment! The perfect place to pig out, don’t you think?

Marty O’Briens Bar & Grill {94-98 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken}

Marty O-Briens

Here’s a Super Bowl deal you can’t skip out on: Marty O’briens is offering a $30 special that includes a bucket of wings, a choice of 3 appetizers offered, a pitcher of Coors Light or Yuengling, or a domestic bucket to enjoy while you catch the game on TV.

McSwiggan’s Pub {110 First Street, Hoboken}

Drink specials are great, but let’s be honest, the apps are one of the best parts of the Super Bowl. We’re pumped about McSwiggan’s $16 Bud Light pitchers and wings or sliders, or $18 Yuengling pitchers with wings or sliders aaaand their $14 mimosa pitchers. Perfect Sunday Funday with a brunch twist.

Mikie Squared {616 Washington Street, Hoboken}

If you’re not having the neighbors over for Super Bowl LI, go to Mikie’s – it’s kind of the same thing. It’s fun & upbeat, but also super chill & casual. Plus, who could say no to $10 sangria pitchers, $12 beer pitchers, or raffles and other fun giveaways?

Mills Tavern {125 Washington Street, Hoboken}

You really can’t miss out on Mulligan’s awesome deals {which include $14 domestic buckets, $10 Coors/Bud Light pitchers or $3 drafts}, especially because it’s a go-to football bar.

Pilsener Haus {1422 Grand Street, Hoboken}

Looking for a different vibe that’s not so “sports bar?” Pilsener Haus is perf – hip, diverse, and unconventional. Plus, their specials are pretty awesome too: $7 pho & wings, $10 bier & a brat, & $4 Pilsener Haus original {and a chance to win a vintage bike that you can ride around the Mile Square in style}. So if you’re not watching the game from your house, watch from Pilsener Haus. We can dig it.

The Shepherd and The Knucklehead {1313 Willow Ave, Hoboken}

Three cheers for $25 Prosecco buckets, $15 Sangria pitchers, & $20 beer buckets {this trifecta is key to a killer game day}. The Shep is killing it with Super Bowl specials: $5 Bloody Marys at brunch {’til 3 pm} followed by happy hour from 4 to 7 pm {which means $2 off all drinks, sliders & tacos}, and 75 cent wings. Whether you start here, end up here, or anything in between, don’t miss out.

The Stewed Cow {400 Adams Street, Hoboken}

Who says you have to sit the entire time you watch football? The Stewed Cow has a mechanical bull and delicious whisky cocktails which will definitely make your stay much more entertaining — not to mention 50 cent wings and $5 app options on Super Bowl Sunday. They also have $10 Coors/Yuengling pitchers, $13 Blue Moon pitchers, and $5 shot specials that will most likely result in a ride on said bull.

Tally Ho {215 Washington Street, Hoboken}

If any bar knows Sunday football specials, it’s Tally Ho! $3 mimosas and $6 manmosas, $4 green tea shots, $5 personal pitchers, $5 Bloody Marys, $10 Bud Light or Coors Light pitchers = the perfect game day steals to us.

Village Pourhouse {205 First Street, Hoboken}

Wicked Wolf {120 Sinatra Drive, Hoboken}

Can’t wait ’til kickoff? DJ Cream & DJ Cam Nichols will be in-house at Wicked Wolf  at 11 am to get the party started early — sounds like our perfect way to get pumped for the big game. $15 Coors Light towers & buckets, $5 Don Julio shots, & 50 cent wings don’t sound so bad either.
