You’re a busy Hoboken girl {or guy}, and sometimes you just need a little something to take the edge off. When work stress is getting to you or just the I’m-over-this-winter blues, a massage is the perfect way to go for a little pampering. But…sometimes you don’t want to splurge on an hour massage for over $80 {way more at some spots, FYI!}. Instead, you need a quick stress reliever that doesn’t break the bank. Enter a chair massage that is easy, quick, and just the right amount of $.

Here are a few spots that you can do just that:

Zeni Day Spa {1401 Hudson Street}

Vepo Clean

Ask for Cherry – she has really strong hands, and you won’t be disappointed. While you’re at it, get a super fabulous manicure {complete with nail art} from Juni. This photo above is from their downtown location which closed, but the uptown location is still going strong!

Viva La Nails {530 Washington Street}

A chair massage here by Jeanny {the owner} or one of her girls is the perfect way to take the edge off after a long day. Plus, if you mention Hoboken Girl you get 10% off your gel mani!

AXIS School of Dance

Gotham Nails {515 4th Street}

From time to time, there is a masseuse here that does chair massages. Would definitely make sure to call ahead to make sure that she is there!

Chi First {934 Washington Street}

So this is more of a “regular” massage spot. However, it is a serious “no-frills” spot…that I almost was scared to go into. But, for $48 for an hour deep tissue massage, you really can’t go wrong. I went here not too long ago {for article research purposes, of course} and the masseuse actually asked me if she could WALK ON MY BACK. Yes, you heard correctly. The massage was actually really good, however, and I would definitely return {if you can get past the less than relaxing atmosphere}. I actually opted for an extra 15 minute foot massage + hot stone massage which was AWESOME. Again, no frills, but great hands!

So there you have it…a few spots for a quick fuss-free massage that will calm you down after a long day! I think if we all got a massage at the beginning and end of each day, the world would be a happier place. Don’t you agree?

Where is your favorite spot in Hoboken for a quick chair massage?
