Scientists predict that a Covid-19 second wave could exist alongside an influenza pandemic in the upcoming months. Judy Persichilli, a New Jersey health commissioner, said last week a vicious year of influenza, along with a predicted uptick in coronavirus cases by the end of the year, has the capacity to constrain healthcare resources across the state this fall. “This year, more than ever,” she said, “it is important that everyone six months of age or older get vaccinated against the flu.”
