All About Bright Horizons
The team at Bright Horizons understands that the early years are a special time — and they make sure it’s a time full of learning, fun, and growth. They provide experiences that capture the joys of childhood while protecting each child’s well-being.
This early education experience is built on 30 years of experience and on what working families want and need for their children. “Child care and early education isn’t just what we do – it’s who we are,” Sarah Watson, Director at Bright Horizons at Maxwell Place, told us.
Bright Horizon centers have convenient locations with individualized programs and schedules that fit each family’s unique needs, keeping the child at the forefront of each decision.
Custom Learning Solutions
The team at Bright Horizons is made up of dedicated early childhood professionals, fully engaged in teaching careers, and who benefit from the in-house training and ongoing support.
Their Discovery Driven Learning™ approach inspires curiosity, encourages exploration, and prepares your child for kindergarten. Children are encouraged to grow into confident, joyful learners through high-quality early learning and a flexible schedule that fits a family’s needs. This learning approach nurtures children’s natural curiosity and focuses on what interests them most. When children ask questions, the teachers help them uncover + experience the solutions through different methods of learning. Since children are natural scientists, inventors, and explorers, the Bright Horizons Discovery Driven Learning™ puts their curiosity at the center of every experience.
How They Got Started
In 1986, founders Linda and Roger Brown saw that child care was an enormous obstacle for working parents. On-site centers became one of the ways they responded to help working families successfully navigate their intricate schedules. The company believes that doing well is firmly intertwined with doing good.
The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children formalizes that mission, supporting employees as they make a difference in the communities where they live and work. Foundation grants and resources give thousands of employees the tools to support tens of thousands of families in need every year.
