Rick Pumill, M.D. FACC started the practice 33 years ago and still remains active seeing office-based patients. There are five doctors in the Hoboken practice, covering all areas of cardiovascular disease, including Dr. Pumill’s son Chris Pumill, MD, FACC. Each doctor provides personalized care to every patient that comes in, ensuring their unique needs and concerns are always met.

The team of physicians at Cross County Cardiology specializes in preventive cardiology, pregnancy, heart disease, sleep apnea, and heart disease, as well as other common cardiac and vascular disorders, including palpitations, leg swelling, lightheadedness, hypertension, and lipid disorders.
A few of the treatment options at the Hoboken location include:
History + Physicals: All the physicians spend time with their patients to see what testing is needed to diagnose problems or how to continue a healthy lifestyle.
Holter Monitoring + Stress Testing: Holter monitoring evaluates heart rhythm over an extended period of time while stress testing evaluates the heart over a short period of time. Treadmill stress testing can evaluate if the heart has enough blood flow.
Echocardiography: An echocardiogram is a special type of ultrasound that evaluates the hearts chambers and valves. This is a common tool used to diagnose heart “murmurs”.
Vascular Imaging/Treatment: Vascular imaging looks for blockages in the arteries or abnormalities of the veins, which can cause varicose veins. Other treatments include endovenous laser therapy, radio-frequency ablation, micro-phlebectomy, and ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy.

Free Screening Event
To celebrate American Heart Month, Cross County Cardiology is hosting a FREE blood pressure + vein screening event on Saturday, February 25th at their Hoboken office. The event will provide free blood pressure and vein screenings as well as resources about how hypertension can be prevented and managed.
“As a silent disease, hypertension often goes untreated or unacknowledged. We aim to change that dynamic by offering free annual screenings to all Hudson County area residents each February during American Heart Month,” says Dr. Christopher Pumill.
