Locals picked up on the news that Bubbakoo’s was opening after seeing a large sign on the storefront that reads “COMING SOON!” There still seems to be a lot of work that needs to be done since Papa’s Restaurant, the former shop at 896 Bergen Ave, still has its banner displayed.

“Despite the challenging economy, our founders Paul Altero and Bill Hart will continue to expand Bubbakoo’s Burritos one customer at a time,” the franchise writes on Bubbakoo’s Burritos’ website. “As opportunities arise, they’ll open new restaurants in neighborhoods where they can build bridges with local residents. Bubbakoo’s Burritos has proudly evolved into a community where people work, eat, and gather as a family.”

The success of the franchise, the website says, was due to many factors, including that “the high-quality food is fresh, made-to-order, and affordable for kids, families, and seniors.” Given the positive feedback the restaurant has received from its customers, the fast-food restaurant believes it’s all “thanks to a well-trained staff, inviting design, and [Paul and Bill’s] dedicated franchise partners who continue to share the Bubbakoo’s way throughout the country.”
