Vegetarian? Eating healthy? Just not a big red meat-eater? Whatever the case is, we’ve got the spots with the yummiest veggie burgers to bring to your firework-viewing picnic (or whatever you plan for the holiday). Because it’s not just about the carnivores on the 4th of July:

Schnackenberg’s — 1110 Washington St

The patty is huge and really, really good. It has chunks of various veggies like carrots, peas, corn, etc. Definitely one of the best veggie burgers I’ve had. I opted for a slice of swiss cheese for more flavor (also the patty itself is very flavorful) and some avocado on top because, well, avocado is the best.

In a previous post, we raved about Onieal’s awesome food. Onieal’s has everything–great salads, delicious brunch, a great bar. Also, they have de-lish veggie burgers that are made in house! Onieal’s burgers never disappoint–and will be sure to impress your fireworks date!

Cafe Matt & Meera — 618 Washington St

Indian fusion with a unique twist on many common dishes. Matt & Meera has many vegetarian crowd-pleasing dishes–including their “burgers”, organic quinoa and mushroom burger and vegan burger. Yum!
