Club Pilates 2023

Hoboken will soon be home to a new paint and sip spot, Pinot’s Palette. After graduating from NYU, owner Jennifer DiPietro spent time working in the entertainment industry before switching to a career in sales and client management, eventually landing as an operational manager for Huntington Learning Center. Jennifer continued to look for a way to feed her creative passion and personality, and decided to do so after falling in love with the paint and sip concept. Pinot’s Palette will have an upscale, laid-back feel where people can bring their own wine and beer and get creative while painting and enjoying a fun experience with friends. Pinot’s Palette is located in the newly-built Eureka building located at 258 Newark Street. They will open the weekend of January 22nd for media, family, and friends and be open to the public the following week.

A new, Hoboken-centric children’s story, Princess Gallantra and the Great Race, is donating 100% of its proceeds to the Global Kids foundation. The charity is a nonprofit educational organization that works to “ensure that youth from underserved areas have the knowledge, skills, experiences and values they need to succeed in school, participate effectively in the democratic process, and achieve leadership in their communities and on the global stage.” The book, with illustrations by Lyle Hysen and color and layout by John Newcomer, was inspired by the late Roya Movafegh who had the idea for the children’s story before passing away in May of 2015. Henson moved forward with the creation of the book in her memory. The book can be purchased online, click here to order your copy today.

Throughout the week, local restaurants offer 3-course prix-fixe menus ranging from $30-$40 in price. This year, some of our favorites are on the list including Batello and Satis Bistro in Jersey City and Court Street, Bin 14, and Dino & Harry’s in Hoboken.
