It’s the last weekend before the holidays really begin, and if you won’t be too busy shopping last minute {or need an escape from the Santacon madness — we’ve got plenty of events to keep you busy. From pop-up shops to trunk shows to ugly Christmas sweater parties and beyond, there’s plenty to do in our area this weekend. Lutze Biergarten {known for its outdoor parties} is hosting the ultimate Ugly Christmas sweater party at the Harborside Atrium in Jersey City this Saturday, December 15th {and don’t worry, it’s indoors}. Hoboken Girl’s annual Hoboken Holiday Market is back for 2018 and will be full of holiday fun. Join us for an evening of holiday shopping and celebrating. Over 20 local vendors and boutiques will be at Birch Hoboken {located at 92 River Street} on Monday, December 17th from 6-10:00PM selling unique gift items where you’re sure to find something for everyone on your list. Nimbus Presents: The Nutcracker — Running through Saturday, December 22nd

Head to the Nimbus Theater in Jersey City {165 Newark Avenue} for their rendition of the classic holiday play, The Nutcracker. Performance dates are on December 14th-16th, and the 22nd-23rd with school matinees on December 11th + 13th and 18th-20th. Get more information and purchase tickets here.

Holiday Art Market in Jersey City — Running through Saturday, December 22nd

The Holiday Art Market is a great opportunity to support local businesses and artists. Artwork will be available for purchase. The event will take place at 107 Bowers in Jersey City. Click here for more info and for updates on vendors.

It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play at the Mile Square Theatre in Hoboken — Running through December 23rd

Back by popular demand, Mile Square Theatre revives its beloved production of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, by Joe Landry. Join MST as the theatre becomes a live recording studio in the golden age of radio and MST theatergoers become the studio audience. Five actors bring to life dozens of characters as WMST “goes on air” to broadcast Frank Capra’s popular holiday story. You don’t want to miss this popular holiday treat for the whole family! Vintage Chanel Trunk Show in Jersey City — Thursday, December 13th through Sunday, December 16th

Another Man’s Treasure in Jersey City is hosting a vintage Chanel trunk show all weekend. The launch party is on Thursday, December 13th from 5:00PM-9:00PM and regular shopping hours will be on Friday and Saturday from 11:00AM-8:00PM and Sunday from 11:00AM-6:00PM.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Open Mic Party at Hudson Coffee — Thursday, December 14th from 8:00PM-10:00PM

Hudson Coffee {1100 Maxwell Lane in Hoboken} is hosting its monthly Espresso-Self Open Mic Night with a Christmas twist. Wear your best {or ugliest} holiday sweater and choose your favorite Christmas song to sing. Admission is free and you can register here.

Hudson County Chamber of Commerce December Breakfast Club — Friday, December 14th from 7:30AM-9:00AM

Wear your ugliest holiday sweater and join the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce for their final breakfast club of the year. The breakfast will take place at Halifax, inside the W Hotel in Hoboken {225 River Street}. The event is only open to members however, members can bring a guest. Get more information here.

Abbie Gardner & Craig Akin at Spiral Sounds in Jersey City — Friday, December 14th at 6:30PM

Musicians Abbie Gardner and Craig Akin will be performing in Jersey City {address to be disclosed when reserving your seat}. Abbie and Craig will be donating half of their musician fees to Grace Community Services, a non-profit arm of Grace Church in Jersey City that feeds the hungry on weekends. Ugly Sweater Party at Black Bear in Hoboken — Friday, December 14th at 10:00PM

Tito’s Handmade Vodka is hosting an Ugly Sweater Party at Black Bear Bar & Grill in Hoboken {205 Washington Street}. There will be $6 Tito’s drinks, photo booths, giveaways, and more. The party will go on until the bar closes.

Shopping Spree with Teens in Foster Care — Saturday, December 15th 

Tiffanie Fisher of the Hoboken City Council, along with Together We Rise, is raising money to take teenagers in foster care on a shopping spree this Saturday. Tiffany has a goal of $500 for five teens and you can donate here to help her raise money for the shopping spree. She will be taking the kids to the Kings Plaza Shopping Center in Brooklyn on Saturday where they will each be able to spend $100.

Hoboken Jingle Bell 5K — Saturday, December 15th from 9:00AM-12:00PM

The annual Hoboken Jingle Bell 5K and 1-mile fun run will take place this Saturday morning at Pier A Park. The first 1,000 runners will get an entire Santa suit to run in. Get more information here.

Brunch with Frosty the Snowman at Mikie Squared in Hoboken — Saturday, December 15th from 11:00AM-3:00PM

Mikie Squared {616 Washington Street} is getting Mile Square kids ready for the holidays with their annual Frosty the Snowman Brunch. Kids can enjoy special treats and pictures with Frosty while adults get complimentary mimosas — win-win! This event will take place every Saturday until December 22nd.

Sweet Treats by Noelle Pop-Up Shop in Jersey City — Saturday, December 15th from 12:00PM-5:00PM
