Made in Italy, Built for Hoboken: All About Veneta Cucine

Written by:

When it comes time to renovate your kitchen, there are many factors to consider, but quality craftsmanship and state-of-the-art designs should always be high up on the list of non-negotiables. Lucky for us, the largest manufacturer of kitchens in Italy actually has a presence right here in uptown Hoboken. Veneta Cucine started in Treviso, Italy, as a family run business over 50 years ago and now has an office at 1101 Madison Street in Hoboken. Offering kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, built-in-furniture for the living room, and Italian-made tables and chairs, the company has a repertoire of high-end and reasonably-priced options. To make your Pinterest kitchen goals even more of a reality, Veneta Cucine is offering 10% off all remodels through 2020 when you mention Hoboken Girl.

The Journey to Hoboken

Veneta Cucine is owned + operated by Carmela and J. Michael Griesbauer, Hoboken residents since 1993. The business has been family-run since it was founded in 1967 in Treviso, Italy and today the company is Italy’s most important manufacturer of traditional and contemporary lines of kitchen furniture.

Don’t let the modest Hoboken storefront on Madison fool you; Veneta’s production facility in Italy employs a staff of more than 500 who design, produce, manage, and distribute 10 systems and 40 models, with 300 combinations of colors and materials. This makes it possible to choose from an infinite number of customized versions. The facility produces 200 kitchens a day and 60,000 kitchens a year.

Made in Italy, Found in Hoboken

Kitchens are made in Italy with the highest quality materials with an emphasis on being affordable. Veneta Cucine is a one-stop-shop and has all models available in the showroom. They also have flooring, backsplash tile, and countertops, so you can make sure your kitchen update is complete.

The Veneta Cucine team comes to your home with the available finishes so you can see them in your space and feel confident in your final decision, doing all the construction as well — demo, electrical, plumbing, appliance install, painting, flooring, tile, and more.

“We love what we do and take our time with each client. It is important that in the end the kitchen represents each client’s style and way of life,” Carmela told us.

Veneta Cucine primarily works with clients in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania but takes from projects from all over. {The team is currently working on a project right now in Knoxville, TN.}

Materials with a Purpose

Veneta Cucine is a green company, using 100% recycled wood and limiting harmful emissions. More than a decade ago they introduced a water-based varnish which significantly reduced toxic emissions without sacrificing quality or performance of products. One technology that has become popular and useful is the application of an anti-bacterial treatment called Bacteria Blocker Silverguard that reduces surface bacterial growth by 99.9%. It’s integrated with the products and not just applied superficially, so the treatment doesn’t evaporate or work any less over time.
