Whether you’ve lived in Jersey City your entire life or you’re a newbie to the neighborhood, the 7th annual All About Downtown Jersey City Street Fair is a can’t-miss event with the latest and greatest vendors around town — and all in one place. On September 16th, over 300 local businesses will be setting up shop from the Grove Street Plaza to Coles Street {so you’ll certainly be getting those steps in for the day}.
There will be a kids station {free rides, face painting, and games}, live musical performances all day, rotating DJs, and last but not least — the Grassroots Drum Parade to make the event go out with a bang-bang. You’ve got a lot of ground to cover, so to make your visit easier, we’ve rounded 18 vendors you must check out at the All About Downtown Jersey City Street Fair.
1. Love Lane Hair Salon
From bridal hair to a routine cut and blow dry, Love Lane will leave you, well, LOVING your fresh ‘do. Women’s cuts start at $75 and men’s start at $45; blow outs are 50+ and an upstyles are about $100. “In hair we trust” is the salon’s motto, so you know you’re going to be in good hands.
2. Love Locked
Love Locked is a female-owned jewelry store that’s all about making women feel beautiful — no matter your budget. From reasonably priced opal earrings {around $70} to $12 bangles to wedding-ready diamond pieces that are over $1,000, there’s some bling for everyone.
3. Bang Cookies
Bang Cookies in JC are soft baked, organic, natural… and massive. You can visit them online and order whatever cookies you desire, then they bake them for you fresh, and deliver them to you same day. And in case you’re looking for something a little outside the cookie box, you should def try their s’mores cookie. It’s insaaaane.

4. Milk Sugar Love
In a world overwhelmed with rainbow desserts, one thing that’s often lacking is an organic version of these very Instagrammable treats: That’s where Milk Sugar Love steps in. From TDF ice cream sandwich cookies {pictured above} to the ultra famous Mac Daddy cake, you’re going to want to devour everything in sight. They also have coconut milk-based vegan ice cream that is so good.
5. Glazed and Confused Mini Doughnuts
One bite into these mini, luscious doughnuts and you’ll be confused as to why you’ve never tried something so heavenly before. You won’t want to miss these fun-sized treats, which are made-to-order and come in multiple flavors including “donutela,” cookies and cream, and a new flavor of the day.
6. Left Bank Burger Bar
No festival is complete without a juicy burger station, and Left Bank delivers the flavor in a fun biergarten setting. Their patties are made of grass-fed beef AND there’s even gluten free options. Plus, there’s even a reggae bar to satisfy your music needs. See more from our visit here.
7. South House
If you need to take a break amidst all the festivities, check out South House JC to get your Tex Mex/people watching fix. The food is as authentic as their southern hospitality. From tasty bloodys to brunch tacos {YES, you heard us right} to savory chicken and waffles, this is prime comfort food. And like last year, there’s yet again going to be a beer garden. 8. Zeppelin Hall
Want a biergarten? You’ve got plenty, but Zeppelin offers up special creations like this MASSIVE “pretzilla” situation pictured above. There are over 100 beers to choose from, no cover charge, and free parking at the regular location — and at All About Downtown, they’re hosting a pop-up biergarten for the day right off of Newark.
9. Ani Ramen
Feel the need to slurp? Then you’ll want to swing by Ani Ramen, where you’re encouraged to slurp your food. There’s nothing quite like the taste and aroma of warm ramen that makes you feel oh-so-cozy and full. See more from a recent visit to this new-to-JC noodle shop here.
10. Wendy Setzer Designs
Wendy Setzer is a local Etsy designer {Setzer Silver Designs}, who creates stunning sterling silver pieces of jewelry for super affordable prices. Whether you need a gift or need to add another unique item to your jewelry box, Setzer’s designs are not to be missed.
11. Charley + Hudson
Founded by local Hoboken residents, Charley + Hudson is an Etsy shop that frequents the Hoboken Arts + Music festival and some JC festivals. They’re known for their fun designs featuring some of your favorite local spots {their HBKN tank is a must for any resident!} as well as some Jersey City gear in the mix. If you’re shopping for a little one, you’ll find that they have the cutest locally-focused onesies to boot.
12. Jane Do
With all the get-in-my-belly food and drinks, you’re probably going to want to hit the gym soon after. If the food-overload guilt starts to set in early, cool-girl gym Jane Do is here to save your day. Started by two former Radio City Rockettes, you’re in for the ultimate dancer workout {plus, they’re opening a 3rd location in Hoboken VERY soon — stay tuned!}.
13. Corgi Spirits + Distillery
As the first and only distillery in New Jersey, Corgi Spirits has a lot on its shoulders — an it certainly delivers. Here, you can check out new “breeds” of all things that are spirited. The distillery is inspired by the playfulness of British heritage, but still stays true to its New Jersey roots.
14. Cool Vines
This isn’t just a regular wine store, it’s a cool wine store. With bottles inspired by Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” you’re in for a hilariously clever {and tasty} beverage at this spot. Cool vines takes the complications out of choosing wine, so if you want a stress-free alcohol run, look no further.
15. Subias Organics
If you’re vegan, it can be tricky to find a quick bite to eat around town, but Subias Organics fills that void {and your tummy!}. From unchicken nuggets to a juicy black bean burger, get your cravings and dietary needs covered here. They’ll be serving plant-based eats for the whole day {and 364 other days per year, too}.
16. Baonanas
How about a treat that doesn’t come with any regret? That’s exactly what #Baonanas is here for. The homemade banana pudding company whips up new flavors on an otherwise traditional treat. With new monthly and seasonal flavors like Lychee-Rose, and staples like #coconanas, you are going to go bananas for these goodies.
17. Bread + Spoon
Whether you want meal delivery, meals for events, or a little something sweet, everything at Bread + Spoon is the real deal and locally sourced from farms within 100 miles of Jersey City and NYC. And if you really want to put your chef hat on, you can learn from the pros here with their cooking classes.
18. Busy Bee Organics
The buzz on the street is that Busy Bee Organics is going to be bringing everyone’s favorite fall flavor to organic butter this year… pumpkin! You’ll also want to check them out for their other healthy food options including pre-made meals and guilt-free desserts.
