YOU. GUYS. We know we typically give you a weekly Events Guide for all the cool and noteworthy things happening around town over the weekend {which of course we did here} but there are 3 exciting things happening TODAY + TOMORROW in Hoboken and Jersey City that make this probably the most exciting two days in the history of the world. Slight exaggeration? Read below and you decide, because when it comes to delicious + affordable snacks, a beach bar, and some great finds, we do not mess around.

Trader Joe’s is HERE {Fri, May 19th}

Thank you St. Joseph, for finally opening your doors to your loyal followers! We have been waiting {not so} patiently for the grand opening of this uptown market located at 1350 Willow Ave. for what seems likes years. Starting at 9AM on Friday with a ceremonial lei-cutting, Trader Joe’s will be open until 10PM with giveaways, demonstrations, food, and more celebratory fun throughout the day. Welcome to Hoboken, TJ’s, we’re glad you’re here.

Located right on the water at 1 Marin Blvd., there will be no cover, free parking, and after 9PM will be adults only. Grab a cocktail, put your toes in the sand, and toast to the weekend and the start of summer. And hey, maybe you’ll find that summer lover at Surf City.

Michele mostly writes about her two favorite things - people and food. Though she’s been a Jersey girl since her mother danced on a chair at a Bruce Springsteen concert while 8-months pregnant, Michele’s life is anything but basic. During the day, she's a payroll specialist for small + local businesses, but on the nights and weekends, she's trying new places to write about and stopping for snacks along the way {so it's a good thing she's a marathoner and soccer player}. Aside from adding to her already extensive collection of throw pillows, Michele enjoys a good beer, nachos, and chillin’ with her kitties, Bo and Samson.
