• The Thursday {3}: The Whole 30, Tea at Ariele’s Apothecary, and Clinton Social Burgers

It’s baaaaack. The Thursday 3, featuring three things we’re crushing on this week. Can’t lie, super excited to tell you about these three — especially because it’s been so long!

    1. The Whole 30 with Abbey Bell Catering

The Whole 30 Hoboken Abbey Bell Catering

If you follow @HobokenGirlBlog on Instagram, you know that editor Jen is attempting the Whole 30. The Whole 30 is basically 30 days of eating “paleo” aka no gluten, soy, dairy, sugar, and/or alcohol. It’s not a diet, it’s more of a “caveman” back-to-eating-real-food type lifestyle. High in protein in veggies. The amazing part about doing it with Abbey {a local chef in Hoboken}, is that she preps all the food for you so that you don’t have to think about it even for a minute — and delivers it in tupperware to your house. It’s been kind of amazing not having to go to the grocery store or prep food for myself. Plus, it’s all organic, wild-caught food that she prepares – nothing processed or pre-made. So delicoius! I’m already down 1.5 pounds {and weight loss isn’t the goal, just an added bonus} — and I started on Monday. Will keep you posted on progress!

    2. Ariele’s Apothecary Teas

    Ariele's Apothecary

Blended and created herself, Ariele of Ariele’s Apothecary makes the most tasty and calming loose teas. My favorite is Cold Ease, which I tried when I recently sat down with Ariele {more details about my visit coming soon}. She’s located on 4th between Washington and Bloomfield…definitely stop by for some tea, essential oils, and/or acupuncture!

    3. Clinton Social Burgers

This may have been a bit of a calorie splurge pre-Whole 30, but O-M-G Clinton Social burgers are delicious! Highly recommend any, but the caramelized onions on top of this one were absolutely scrumptious. Winner of Best Cocktails 2014 in Hoboken, the Clinton Social is a good choice for happy hour + dins any night of the week.

Her roots in the area extend to her maternal grandparents, who owned two textile factories in Weehawken and North Bergen.
