It was all a dream…

…that came to fruition.

Hoboken Huddle

If you’ve sauntered around Pier A recently, then it’s no surprise to you that Hoboken is obviously doing something pretty sweet for the Superbowl {as evidenced by the large roman numerals 12 feet high – carved at a wood shop in Jersey City!}. For the two years, the Hoboken Huddle has been an idea that many community members in Hoboken (HG included) have been helping create as part of the Hoboken Events CommitteeThe motivation of this committee is to get people actively engaged in events and activities that emphasize the spirit of cooperation and support found in Hoboken’s business community.

This Tuesday, January 28th at 4PM, the Roman Numeral Unveiling Ceremony will take place, kicking off the week of events on Pier A for the SuperBowl. Individuals and businesses funded the building of the numerals and will have their names displayed on them.

Pier A. Except it will be looking a bit colder out this week.

There will be events that will take place throughout the week on Pier A –including Curling and an outdoor ice skating rink! There will also be an Official NFL Super Bowl Merchandising tent within the Gazebo on Pier A coming later in the week — as well as many Hoboken businesses that will be a part of the Pier A area of Super Bowl Square in Hoboken. Entrance to this area is FREE, which is unlike many of the other Super Bowl events going on around the tri-state area this week. will update this with sponsors of the events as soon as this information is available. Word on the street is that Hudson Cakery will be there…can’t wait to share who else! If you’d like to help with the Curling activities as a volunteer or any of the other events throughout the week – please sign up HERE.
