If you’re not down the shore this Monday or are heading back back early, there are still so many places open to enjoy drinks and delicious food in town. Take advantage of the happy hours being offered along with breathtaking views of the Hudson to {almost} officially kick off the summer. Here’s a roundup in no particular order of some of our favorite spots open this Memorial Day in Hoboken + Jersey City. Make sure to head to any of these spots and support the local biz owners that are hard at work over the holiday.

Hoboken
City Bistro {56 14th Street}

First on the list is a happy hour you do not want to miss. City Bistro hosts a special that includes half-priced beer, wine, well drinks, apps + pizzas. These can’t beat deals are usually only offered from 12:00PM-7:00PM, but this Monday they are doing us all the favor by extending it to all night.
Pier 13 {1301 Sinatra Drive N}

The extended pier over the Hudson just got even better. Enjoy some frozen drinks for just $10 while gazing at the stunning NYC skyline. Also, be sure to grub on all of the amazing eats from the food trucks.
Memorial Day Party at the Pier {1130 Maxwell Lane}
12:00PM – 4:00PM at Maxwell Place Pier
This event hosted by Hoboken Grace is open to the public and is a bit different than the others on this list. It is encouraged that all from the neighborhood bring snacks + drinks to share. Everyone can enjoy drinks and games on the pier while honoring those who sacrificed for our freedom.
Black Bear Bar & Grill

The ultimate bar to eat and drink will be ready to serve you and your crew this holiday. Don’t forget to try out their cocktail of the week — Razz Roze.
Pilsener Haus & Biergarten {1422 Grand Street}
Open 12:00PM-10:00PM
The kitchen will not be fully open, but from noon-close a very special Memorial Day menu is available. Make your way here to get some grilled noms + their famous pretzels, which will be served all day.

The Madison Bar & Grill {1316 Washington Street}
Open 11:30AM-2:00AM
The regular menu will be served as well as their weekly Monday special. For $20.16 per person, you can indulge in all the yums The Madison has to offer at their first seating 3-course early bird menu all night long.
East LA {508 Washington Street}
Open 11:00AM-12:00AM
East LA will draw you in with their refreshing {+ pretty} frozen margaritas. Go grab yourself one of these during happy hour between 4:00PM-7:00PM.
Hotel Victor Bar & Grill {77 Hudson Street}
Open 11:30AM-2:00AM
The best thing about Hotel Victor is that their happy hour lasts all day — score. Choose from $3 select domestics, $4 well drinks, half-priced house wines, $6 Jameson shots, $15 pitchers of sangria, $30 bucket of babes, + $20 mix-n-match buckets.
Mikie Squared Bar & Grill {616 Washington Street}
Open 11:30AM-2:00AM {Hours may differ on Memorial Day}
Although this popular joint may close a little earlier than usual this holiday, get in there before it does to enjoy their deal of the day. It includes half-price drinks and dinner from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
The Brass Rail {135 Washington Street}
Open 11:30AM-10:00PM
Moody Monday is a must here. The Brass Rail knows that the first day of the week can be a bit dreadful, but not when this one is a holiday. There’s plenty of options like half-priced select draft beer + wine from 4:00PM-7:00PM, half-priced bottles of select wine with purchase of dinner entrée 5:00PM-close, $5 select martinis 7:00PM-close, + $35 prix fixe dinner all night.
Jersey City
Porta {135 Newark Avenue}

Porta will be open with their regular hours and offering their regular menu. So stop by and munch on your own personal pizza — or two {we won’t tell}.
Lutze Biergarten {3 2nd Street}
Open 4:00PM-10:00PM
The family + pet-friendly Biergarten is a community for excellent food, drinks, and games. Lutze invites all guests to have a good time while sharing the view of the NYC skyline. On top of that perk is the happy hour from 4:00PM-7:00PM — $5 draft beers, $5 well cocktails, and $6 draft wine are all on the menu.
The Bistro @ Grove Square {116 Newark Avenue}

If you would rather enjoy a casual dinner it would be a good idea to head this new American bistro. Incorporating happy hour drinks along with that dinner would also be a totally good idea if you’re there in between 4:00PM-8:00PM. Indulge in half-off appetizers, $5 craft beers, $7 specialty cocktails.
Taphaus {2 2nd Street #101}

Another hotspot with serious #views. Taphaus will be ready for you to embrace their rustic-chic atmosphere along with their regular menu + regular cocktails.
Milk Sugar Love Creamery + Bakeshop {19 McWilliams Place}

What’s a MDW without some ice cream? The unique flavors of ice cream here will make your mouth water. Treat yourself to a cone because you deserve it.
The Brownstone Diner {426 Jersey Avenue}

Get your pancake fix at the Brownstone. From fresh fruit pancakes to pigs in the blanket pancakes {pork sausage links nestled inside extra large buttermilk pancakes} — yup. You cannot go wrong with starting your morning with breakfast from here.

This casual space is ideal to eat brunch, lunch ,dinner, or just a quick burger. You can even wait around to catch happy hour from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
