    June is a great month and it’s known for specifically two very important things — the official start of summer and pride. Hudson County is celebrating in numerous ways this year. Whether it’s with a special fundraiser or a prom celebration for LBGTQIA+ youth, Hoboken and Jersey City has it all. We’ve put together a roundup of events and other fun activities happening in and around Hudson County that demonstrate that love really does win within our communities. Keep reading to find out all the ways to celebrate pride in Hudson County 2019 {plus, we’ll be adding more events + ways to celebrate as the month goes on}.

    Upcoming Events

    Mint Market Donating to Happy Hippie Foundation — All Month 

    All month long, Mint Market will be donating 10% of purchase proceeds to the Happy Hippie Foundation.

    Drag Queen Story Time at Antique Bakery — Saturday, June 1st 

    The Hudson County Democratic Party will be hosting the first ever drag queen story time with Harmonica Sunbeam at Antique Bar & Bakery. Get more information here.

    The Hoboken Colors of Pride Rollout — Saturday, June 1st {All Month Long}

    Take a walk down by City Hall in Hoboken and peep the newly-painted crosswalks in all their pride rainbow glory. They’ll be there for the month, but we’re hoping they stay a bit longer {aka 4EV}. Corner of Newark and Washington Street.

    Hoboken City Hall Flag Raising — Monday, June 3rd 

    Join Mayor Ravi Bhalla and the City of Hoboken for the Pride Month flag raising ceremony on Monday, June 3rd at 11:00AM on the steps of Hoboken City Hall. Find out more info about the event here.

    Black Maria Film Series, Program 4 — Pride Month — Wednesday, June 5th

    The Hoboken Historical Museum will be hosting the Black Maria Film Festival’s Program 4 — Pride Month, which will include a screening of LGBTQ+ shorts. Get more information about the program here.

    Pride Fundraiser with Hetrick-Martin Institute in Newark, New Jersey — Wednesday, June 5th 

    Join Hetrick-Martin Institute: New Jersey in celebrating Pride Month during a special Pride Fundraiser that will feature food + live entertainment. Sign up for the event here.

    Men of Hudson Pride with Hudson Pride Center — Thursday, June 6th 

    Come together with the men of Hudson Pride over at the Hudson Pride Center. Get more information about the event here.

    Pride Night Cocktails for a Cause at Six 26 — Saturday, June 8th 

    The NJ LGBT Chamber of Commerce + the Pride Network will be kicking off Pride Month with a special cocktail event over at Six 26. The event will support local LGBTQ+ business owners and feature special guests, Olivia Lux and Kimmy Sumony. Get more information about the event here.

    Night of Yoga + Shopping + CBD + Prosecco with Hudson Yoga Project at Athleta — Wednesday, June 12th 

    Enjoy a night filled with yoga, CBD, Prosecco, and more with Hudson Yoga Project over at Athleta Hoboken in support of Pride month. Get more information about this fun event here.

    Hudson Pride Center LGBTQ+ Prom 2019 — Saturday, June 15th 

    Join the Hudson Pride Center for its annual LGBTQ+ prom. The event will be held at 161 Newkirk Avenue, Jersey City and will be a safe + inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ youth to celebrate themselves in. Get more information here.

    Women of Pride at Hudson Pride Center — Saturday, June 15th

    Join forces and network with the women of pride over at Hudson Pride Center. Find out more about this event here.

    Pride Ride Soul Challenge — Sunday, June 23rd 

    SoulCycle Hoboken will be hosting a special Pride Ride. Details are TBD, but learn more about this fun + fit event here.

    Celebrate Pride on 6/26 at Six26 — Wednesday, June 26th 

    Six26 in Jersey City will be celebrating Pride on its namesake date. Get more information about this epic celebration here.

    New York Red Bulls Pride Night — Friday, June 28th 

    Celebrate Pride Month with the New York Red Bulls during the team’s annual Pride Night game against the Chicago Fire. Get more info about this epic event here.

    NYC Pride March — Sunday, June 30th 

    Although not in Hudson County per se, not including the NYC Pride March would leave this roundup incomplete. Starting at 12:00PM between 26th Street and 5th Avenue, join members for the LGBTQ+ community from all over the country for this epic celebration of love. Get more information about the march here.

    Saddlecoat Vodka Limited Edition Pride Lable at Corgi Sprits

    Corgi Spirits will be selling a limited edition Saddlecoat Vodka with a Pride Label with a portion of the proceeds from every bottle purchased going to Hudson Pride. Find out more about this limited edition vodka here.

    Pride Cupcakes by Baked by Melissa 

    Baked by Melissa will be selling Pride-themed rainbow cupcakes in honor of Pride with 10% of the net proceeds to LGBT Center NYC. Get more information here.

    “Sprinkled With Love” Artwork at West Elm Hoboken

    West Elm Hoboken will be featuring the artwork of a local artist who created the above “Sprinkled With Love” art piece in honor of Pride Month. The proceeds from purchasing the work will go to a local LGBTQ+ non-profit.

    Rainbow Cookies by Zola Bakes at Honeygrow

    Honeygrow will be selling rainbow cookies made by Zola Bakes, which will be donating 5% of the profits to the Trevor Project. Get more information about these tasty treats for a good cause here.

    Stonewall Inn IPA by Brooklyn Brewery

    Celebrate Pride with a Pride-themed drink. Brooklyn Brewery will be serving a Stonewall Inn IPA in honor of Stonewall 50. Get more information about this brew here.

    Hoboken’s very own Baking Mama will be celebrating Pride month with special Pride-themed cupcakes. Get more information about these tasty treats here.

    Limited Edition Rainbow Cookies at Alfalfa

    Alfalfa in Hoboken will be closing out Pride Month with a special rainbow cookie on offer, with all the proceeds going towards a locally based LGBTQIA charity. Find out more about the cookies here.

    Local LGBTQ+ Groups

    Hudson Pride Center

    Hudson Pride Center is a local organization that provides a home and a voice for the local LGBTQ+ community and beyond. This Hudson County-based organization creates a safe environment and space for members of the LGBTQ+ to celebrate themselves within. For more information about Hudson Pride Center, click here.

    TransView Trans Support Meeting in Jersey City

    The TransView group provides support to transgender individuals in Jersey City, Hudson County, and beyond. The group meets every Tuesday from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Hudson Pride Center.
