Expanding to NJ
Peppercorn Station first opened in New York City at 66 West 39th Street in February 2022. A year later, it branched out to Jersey City and had a soft opening in mid-February. It’s located in the Provost Square complex, which will soon welcome Pizza Twist and Teazzi in the coming months.
The next-door neighbor, Rui Tea, a bubble tea store, also celebrated its soft opening at the beginning of March, following the opening of the new barre studio, Barre3 Jersey City.
According to Peppercorn Station’s website, it’s still in its soft opening phase as they are looking to hire hosts, servers and managers.

About the Menu
The Chinese restaurant specializes in Szechuan cuisine, which consists of bold flavors and, of course, the Sichuan peppercorn – which is most likely how the restaurant got its name – a strong-tasting spice with a citrus aroma that creates a numbing sensation in the mouth.
The goal of Peppercorn Station is to bring its culture to New York and Jersey City through its traditional recipes, authentic spices, and unique dining experience. The menu is curated by a chef and a team who has over 50-plus years of experience in Chinese cuisine. The ingredients are freshly sourced from local markets and the spices match the original flavors from Szechuan, a province in Southwest China.
Peppercorn has an expansive diverse menu that consists of small plates, large plates, vegetable dishes, rice dishes, noodles, soups, and desserts. Some items include sliced beef and ox tongue in chili sauce, Thai-style lemon boneless duck feet, hot and sour glass noodles, mala whole fish, braised chicken with taro, crab meat sauce tofu, and fried rice with Yibin pickle.
