If there is one single thing that people in Hoboken and Jersey City can all agree on, it’s that we love our pets. But unfortunately, there are a few local dogs and cats that are still looking for a loving home. This holiday season, open your heart and your home to a pet in need. Meet Charlie — this Miniature Pinscher is looking for his forever home — are you his perfect match? Keep reading to learn more about Charlie and how to adopt him.
About Charlie
This good boy is nine years old and is house trained, has up-to-date vaccinations, is neutered, and is good with other dogs, cats, and children. Unfortunately for Charlie, his previous owner passed away, and upon that passing, Charlie was being offered to be given away on the street. Luckily, a local dog walker spotted this sweet boy and fostered him to make sure he found a new, loving home. He is now currently up for adoption through Wise Animal Rescue.
Charlie is as easy-going as they get — he’s relaxed and has low-energy {oh, and he loves to cuddle and give + get hugs = win}. He is currently living with other dogs, with whom he gets along with “fabulously.” He’s a real people {and pet} pleaser, making friends with dogs and humans everywhere he goes.
Plus, he is completely house-trained, good when left alone, and would be the perfect addition to a family or home with kids or other pets.

The organization also works with veterinary practices to help nurse any dogs in poor health back to good health and help save dogs’ lives. According to the organization’s website, the central mission of Wise is to, “ensure that all dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped. Prior to adoption, all of our dogs are placed into responsible loving foster homes to be socialized and trained rather than put in a shelter environment.”
