According to a message from the Hoboken Police Department, on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, at about 7:25PM, Hoboken Police Officers responded to the area of 4th and Adams Street on a report of gunshots fired. Upon arrival, officers spoke to witnesses and learned that a group of juveniles/young adults were engaged in “some type of a dispute with a male who was shirtless.”

The report stated, “The shirtless male was armed with a knife and was shot at by someone in the group. The shirtless male and the group ran off in different directions. Officers found .40-caliber spent casings and live rounds at the scene, which points to a handgun as the weapon used. At this time no one has been charged for this incident and no victim has come forward. Further, we have no reason to believe that anyone was shot.”
