With two locations in the Mile Square, Guitar Bar is the go-to for music instruments, lessons, and accessories. But fun fact, it is also a hot spot for the tiniest tots, too — with its Little Rock N Rollers class. One of our writers recently paid the class a visit with her little one to see what it was all about. Keep reading for a review of the Little Rock N Rollers class at Guitar Bar Jr. in Hoboken.

The Class Itself

The happy, vibrant instructor named Karyn happily greeted guests as they took a spot on the floor in a circle, surrounded by other babies and their moms/dads/nannies/grandparents — you name it. {FYI: the class is a bring-your-own blanket class, so be sure to pack one}.

Suitable for babies that are held, sitting up, or crawling, Karyn led the class through a welcoming song greeting each baby by name while strumming on her acoustic guitar.

The babies had the opportunity to bang on little baby bongos, shake what their mamas gave them with maracas, play with bubbles, and clap along to some traditional kids’ songs, too.

Karyn and her helper were so kind and warm to each baby, and it was evident each baby there was having a wonderful time

Plus, exposing babies to music at an early age is important for their development. In fact, research shows that a baby’s brain is actually pre-wired to learn music, and it can help aid in their development.
