Hudson County is known for its many Italian festivals, including The St. Ann’s Feast, Hoboken Italian Festival, and more. Among these festivals is La Festa Italiana, Jersey City’s five-day festival full of Italian food, drinks, activities, live music, and historic traditions. About La Festa Italiana
La Festa Italiana is a long-standing Jersey City tradition that has been held annually since 1902. Hosted by Holy Rosary Church, which is recognized as the first Italian church founded in New Jersey, the event celebrates Italian heritage, food, faith, and culture. This year, the five-day festival will be held from Wednesday, August 5th, to Sunday, August 9th. It will be held at 344 6th Street, in the area around Holy Rosary Church. The festival’s hours are as follows:
- Wednesday, August 5th – Friday, August 7th | 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Saturday, August 8th + Sunday, August 9th | 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Visitors can expect to enjoy some of the festival’s many Italian treats, including handmade zeppoles (an Italian favorite), Italian rice balls covered in gravy, and wine + peaches served by O’Leary’s Publik House. Caffe Italiano, which is located behind Holy Rosary Church, will also be selling espresso, Italian cakes, pastries, and fresh cannoli.
There will also be activities and live entertainment, including a super 50/50 raffle (which is drawn on Sunday, August 9th at 11:00 PM), a parade showcasing statues of patron saints accompanied by a marching band, and live music at 7:00 PM every night. The live music schedule is as follows:

- Saturday, August 8th | Promise Land
- Sunday, August 9th | The Cameos
