Meet Luna, a Jindo mix that’s looking to be adopted out of WISE Animal Rescue and into a North Jersey home this holiday season. This sweet pup was recused from China — she was found with a broken spine, and tied to a box with her brother. Luna was brought to a shelter and assisted by the help of good samaritans who took care of her and helped her get physical therapy in China. She was eventually brought over to the United States for the care she desperately needed. Read on to learn more about Luna and how to adopt her this holiday season from WISE.
Luna’s Story
Luna is a Jindo mix that WISE believes to be 2-3 years old. She was first found in China, abandoned and chained to a box alongside her brother.

Luna was rescued by good samaritans and brought to physical therapy by locals in China — who raised funds for her to start being rehabilitated. After a few visits to the vet, it was discovered that Luna’s hind legs are not fully functional.
This was when the locals realized Luna needed more care than what they could give her in China. She was first transferred to Los Angeles after being in China for two years and was eventually brought to New Jersey at WISE Animal Rescue to get the proper care she needs.
Luna is healing now but she needs a special home with someone who understands dogs with disabilities who need a wheelchair. She is very cuddly and loves to play with other dogs. She will scoot around and she uses a slinky apparatus now — but is working up to a wheelchair where she can run free.
Her brother was adopted quickly, but since Luna has special needs, it’s been harder to find her a home. WISE is looking for a North Jersey family to foster her over the holidays, but is also open to a foster-to-adopt situation.
