Events will include music, food, and Henna services so make sure to follow the JC shop on Instagram as they announce events for the month.
Most notably, doors will open at 8AM for medical patients and 10AM for recreational consumers on 4/20 and will feature some of the team’s new favorite brands including Jams, Kind Tree, Wana, Elyon, and (the) Essence J’s.
Cannabis Products Available at downtown FLWR
The boutique-style medical and adult recreational cannabis dispensary is licensed by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission and provides a wide variety of products for consumers.
With a ton of new brands and products arriving this spring, downtown FLWR has everything needed to live the high-life including flower, pre-rolls, vaporizers, concentrates, edibles, and other accessories. Some favorites at the JC shop include flower from brands like Elyon and Kind Tree, espresso caramel and blueberry lemonade edibles (need we say more), and Pineapple Express + Purple Punch concentrates.
downtown FLWR newest portable dab pens from Puffco are available in chic color options including pearl and onyx. According to the downtown FLWR team, this award-winning, all-in-one portable dab pen was upgraded to make it easier than ever to enjoy concentrates everywhere. Fun 4/20 socks and downtown FLWR merch including coffee mugs, tumblers, and more are also for purchase for those looking to update their wardrobe and sport the brand with everyday essentials.
Those registered with the state’s Medical Marijuana Program and with proper documentation are eligible to purchase medical marijuana products. Those who are shopping recreationally must be 21-years and older and provide proper identification to purchase and use products from the Jersey City shop.

downtown FLWR is a women-owned business that was started by Amanda Handy, Benny Shabtai, and Stacey Shabtai. The trio share an incredibly powerful background from serving in our nation’s Army, to surviving cancer, to advocating for the community, focusing on giving back, fundraising, and women + children orgs. With one goal in mind — to provide a safe space for patients to learn about and use alternative methods to treat different medical issues — the team behind the dispensary has top-notch service and knowledge on all things marijuana.

Contrary to popular belief, 2025 has brought more than just congestion pricing and the end of a much-anticipated holiday break. The new year has come with an abundance of new restaurants and cuisines in the area, including the up-and-coming Journal Square neighborhood of Jersey City. Khokha is a Pakistani-American fast-food restaurant that opened its doors at 60 Sip Avenue, Store 2B in Jersey City on December 20th, 2024. Khokha is a Pakistani-American restaurant that opened in Jersey City at 60 Sip Avenue, Store 2B on December 20th, 2024 with its official grand opening. This is the restaurant's second New Jersey location, with one in Piscataway at 1358 Centennial Avenue being the first.

According to the franchise's website, Khokha means "kiosk" in Urdu. Within Pakistani culture, this word typically refers to a local eatery where people can find "delicious and comforting food along with unique and hilarious artwork." Khokha hopes to bring that same upbeat and comforting vibe to its Northern New Jersey communities.

Khokha serves up a completely halal menu of fast-food favorites like burgers, chicken sandwiches, loaded fries, and more. Patrons can find signature items like wagyu beef burgers, topped with chimichurri, jalapeño aioli, and romaine, as well as Pakistani-inspired options like the paratha rolls, which can be made with crispy chicken, pulled beef, or plant-based meat.
This restaurant is a great spot for plant-based folks. The menu includes options like The Modern Burger, made with a plant-based patty and topped with cheddar cheese, grilled tomato, the signature Khokha sauce, and mint chutney, and the Anda Shami, which comes with a chicken + split chickpea patty topped with omelet, cabbage, masala, ketchup, garlic sauce, and tamarind sauce.
The menu also features grilled cheese sandwiches, wings, milkshakes, desserts, and housemade drinks like the Desi Mint Margarita and Lassi, which is a yogurt-based beverage. While the restaurant has only been open for a few weeks as of this writing, menu options like the Australian and New Zealand lamb chops have quickly become must-try items for customers.
