A beloved local comedy event is returning next week in Jersey City. The Jersey City Comedy Festival — which will feature 50 comedians — will take place from June 11th-15th, 2024. The events will take place at Art House Productions and Dorrian’s Red Hand in Jersey City. Read on for more about the 2024 Jersey City Comedy Festival and what to expect.
About the Festival
The 2024 Jersey City Comedy Festival, which is hosted by Art House Productions, will feature 50 comedians from around the US and Canada and will be happening from Tuesday, June 11th to Saturday, June 15th. The festival will be taking place at two locations — Art House Productions (345 Marin Boulevard) and The Laugh Tour Comedy Club at Dorrian’s Red Hand (555 Washington Boulevard).

The selected comics from a pool of hundreds of submissions will compete in five competition showcases, and audiences will be able to vote for their favorite comedian at each showcase in order to advance them to the finale on June 15th. Two winners from each showcase (audience pick + industry pick) are selected to perform in the final competition where they can win cash prizes and spots at local clubs. Headliners for the festival include Rachel Feinstein and Kyle Gordon.
“The Jersey City Comedy Festival returns with an exciting lineup featuring comics from across the nation. We’re thrilled to have Kyle Gordon return as a headliner, following his previous appearance as an opener in 2018. Rachel Feinstein’s comedy has been a personal favorite for years, and we’re ecstatic to welcome her to Jersey City,” Executive Artistic Director Meredith Burns said in a press release.
“I’m always pumped to see these talented comedians compete and see how they grow and thrive over time” Rich Kiamco, owner of The Laugh Tour Comedy Club, said in a press release.

It is a non-profit and is completely foster-based, meaning all dogs are placed in loving foster homes instead of in a shelter. It is W.A.R.’s mission to help dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages.
