Hudson Pride Center is adding to the LGBTQ+ themed events. The organization will be holding its first annual Prom Fundraiser in Jersey City on June 10th – which is open to the public and gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy a special night. The Details
The first annual Hudson Pride Center LGBTQ+ Prom Fundraiser will be held on Friday, June 10th, 2022. Those participating can enjoy an open bar, buffet, music, dancing, and more entertainment at White Eagle Hall – 337 Newark Avenue in Jersey City. Here at The Hoboken Girl, we’re excited to partner together to share more about the event.
Hudson Pride refers to the event as a “magical evening” at the unique space — and will give those who did not have the chance to enjoy prom for various reasons a fun and entertainment-filled night.
Whether you had to skip, couldn’t go with your preferred date or in your ideal attire, or just didn’t feel authentically yourself at prom, this event is for everyone looking to have the enjoyable, memorable prom everyone deserves.
In addition, all the funds raised from the LGBTQ+ Prom Fundraiser will go directly to supporting the center’s daily operations, programs, and services.

About the Organizers
Hudson Pride Center – located at 205 Brunswick Street in Jersey City – was formed in 1993 to serve as an advocate and social service provider for the LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS communities in Hudson County and has since become the largest LGBTQ+ social services center in New Jersey. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-based organization.
The center came about at a time when few organizations in the area were willing and able to do so. Some of the values of this organization are to be a safe, affirming, supportive, and inclusive spot that allows you to be your true self. The center provides programming and resources to support the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ people as well as work to normalize their lives in a safe and supportive way.
In addition to a variety of weekly and monthly social groups and events, Hudson Pride Center also offers free HIV testing, referrals to STI testing, counseling, letters of medical necessity, hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgery readiness assessments, legal document change navigation, health and social service navigation, mental health services, and more – all in an environment aimed at directly meeting the needs of a gender-diverse community. In addition, the center is a leading provider of LGBTQ+ cultural sensitivity training throughout New Jersey. New services like Syphilis testing will start in May.
