What three words best describe you?: Fun, active, spontaneous.

Describe your perfect weekend: Workouts, some pick-up soccer, and fun nights at the bars. I love going out in the Lower East Side, East Village, and Williamsburg. But it’s never hard to convince me to stay local and head to 10th and Willow or McSwiggins. And can’t forget about Mike’s Wild Moose Saloon!

Tell us about your ideal date: Taking my date to a fun place she hasn’t been to before. Somewhere with great food and drinks where we can enjoy the music and get to know each other better.

    Favorite Places Around Town

Happy hour spot: Turtle Club. As a whiskey connoisseur, it has the best Old Fashioned around and great craft beer specials. Plus, it has a lot of American history behind it!

Place for dinner: Cucharamama. It’s a little off the beaten path but really worth it. The South American dishes come out of a wood-fired oven and remind me of dinners back home in South Florida. I could live off of arroz con pollo.

Best Italian in Jersey: I haven’t seen all of Jersey but I love Otto Strada. Their pasta dishes are the best I’ve had in Hoboken.

What do you wish would come to the area: A new rooftop bar with views of Manhattan {City Bistro and the Dubliner aren’t doing it for me}.

Dogs or cats? Dogs hands down. I had a Beagle-hound mix rescue growing up, and I couldn’t have asked for a better dog.

    Uber or Lyft? Uber

Adventure vacay or relaxing vacay? A mixture of both. Runs on the beach and some volleyball are always fun. I love exploring and finding new bars/restaurants on vacation. Some of my favorite long weekend getaways are Newport, RI and Nantucket. Miami is always a great time too.

MDW and Labor Day: Staycation or leave town? I love to get out of the city on those weekends and head to the beach. Spring Lake is one of my favorite beaches in Jersey. If I’m headed back home to FL, Fort Lauderdale or Marco Island on the west coast are beautiful spots.

You’re stuck in an elevator. Who do you hope you’re stuck with? Who do you hope you’re never stuck with? David Beckham would be ideal. My passion for soccer, business, and men’s fashion would make for some great conversation. If it was Kanye or one of the Kardashians, I’d head for the emergency hatch.

Michele mostly writes about her two favorite things - people and food. Though she’s been a Jersey girl since her mother danced on a chair at a Bruce Springsteen concert while 8-months pregnant, Michele’s life is anything but basic. During the day, she's a payroll specialist for small + local businesses, but on the nights and weekends, she's trying new places to write about and stopping for snacks along the way {so it's a good thing she's a marathoner and soccer player}. Aside from adding to her already extensive collection of throw pillows, Michele enjoys a good beer, nachos, and chillin’ with her kitties, Bo and Samson.
