Holiday Season Toy Drives in Hoboken + Jersey City

Every year, children wait patiently in hopes of getting the perfect toy during the holiday season. While every child deserves a fun holiday filled with all the gifts they can imagine, that sadly is not the reality for so many. Hudson County has gathered year after year to ensure as many children can have a magical holiday, but help is needed. So we have rounded up all the areas and businesses accepting holiday toy donations. Keep reading to discover a roundup of holiday season toy drives in Hoboken + Jersey City.

December 1st-13th — HOPES Community Toy Drive {532 Jackson Street, Hoboken}

Help bring a smile to a child’s face this holiday season. Join HOPES Community Action Partnership, Inc. in giving back to the community for its third annual toy drive. Toys will be shared at the Community Game Night in December. There are two ways to donate — purchase from the Wish List here {no drop-off necessary} or drop-off toys at 532 Jackson Street, Unit 1B. December 1st-31st — TRUE Mentors Monthly Drive {601 Jackson Street, Hoboken} 

TRUE Mentors’ mission is to unearth each child’s potential through relationship building and exposing them to the immense human capital that exists in Hoboken and the surrounding areas. This month, they are asking for donations of toys, games, books, and more for the youth they support. Head to Amazon for their wish list.

December 3rd-20th–Work It Out Toy Drive {603 Willow Avenue, Hoboken & 5 Marine View Plaza, Hoboken} 

Work It Out has partnered with The Hoboken Police & Fire Unions on their 2019 Toy Drive to ensure no child or senior citizens goes without a gift this holiday season. Drop off gifts during the designated dates at either location.

December 5th — WE Meetup: Toy Drive Edition {1200 Washington Street, Hoboken}

Join Women Entrepreneurs of Hudson County for its final meetup of the year from 4:30-6:00PM. WE has partnered with the Masonic Lodge for a toy drive. Tickets for the meeting are $6 and all proceeds will benefit WE. Attendees are asked to bring one or two toys for the drive to be donated to children in the area. December 7th — Jersey City Ties 9th Annual Toy Drive + Happy Hour {322 2nd Street, Jersey City}

Guests are asked to bring unwrapped toys or gift cards suitable for children aged five to 14. All donations will be given to the children of Hudson County’s Boys & Girls Club. Please, no toy guns or Nerf guns. Cash donations are also accepted for the purchasing of additional toys and gift cards. All cash donations will be matched by Jersey Ties.

AXIS School of Dance

December 11th  — Hoboken Police + Fire Department Toy Drive {630 Washington Street, Hoboken}

Hoboken’s police and fire departments are joining forces to gather unwrapped holiday toys for children in our area. They are also joined in part by Hoboken Grace and the Hoboken Housing Authority. The drive will take place from 8:00AM-6:00PM. For those who cannot attend, gifts can be dropped off at either station or donations can be made via Amazon all month long. December 13th — Jersey City’s 23rd Annual Toy Drive {280 Grove Street Room 106, Jersey City}

Registration is now open for Jersey City’s annual toy drive. Registration is open to Jersey City residents. For those wishing to donate, toys for children ages one to 12 are needed. Please bring all gifts unwrapped to the Resident Response Center Monday through Friday from 9:00AM-6:00PM. December 11th will be the last day to drop off gifts. December 14th — 7th Annual Jersey City Mayor Concert {54 Journal Square Plaza, Jersey City}

Mayor Steven Fulop and the Dante Alighieri Society of Jersey City are hosting the annual Holiday Concert. Children’s gift donations are welcomed and appreciated at this free event. The Society will also accept a check donation. For more information on giving and to reserve a free ticket, contact Anthony Catanio at 201-324-1300 or acatanino@leemarkeletric.net.

December 21st — Kids 1st Inc. Holiday Party and Gift-Giving Program {24 Pine Crest Road, Jersey City} 

Kids 1st Inc. is an inner-city youth service and recreation organization serving children age three to 15. Most families supported by Kids 1st do not have disposable income making holiday gift shopping difficult. The organization is asking for merchandise, toys, or cash for the purchasing of donations. Gifts will be given during their holiday party where Santa will be present. All are welcome.
