    It’s hard to believe it’s already going to be 2015…but here we are. With the end of every year comes reflections and celebrations — what went well, what went wrong, and how to start fresh for the new year. It’s amazing in this little mile square how many people and businesses come into our lives, leave us, or stay for the duration. Today we’re going to showcase our #HobokenGirl faves and the best of the best in Hoboken for the year of the horse {if you follow the Chinese Zodiac you know that’s 2014, duh}.

    Simply Home Goods – you can’t go wrong with a chocolate PB square {that’s gluten free & vegan!}.

     

    Best Cake Pops EVER:

     The Hudson Cakery – specifically red velvet, but any flavor will do.

    Vegan {& Regular!} at Love & Yogurt

    La Isla… dropping you some brunch knowledge, of course. BYO-champagne!

    The salmon eggs bene at Elysian Cafe ‘Nuff said.

     

    Best BYOB:

    Add a Caesar Salad + Spinach Ravioli Margheritas

     

    Best Sangria:

    The Red or Specialty ‘gria at The Cuban

     

    Best Massage:

    Silvia at LaFemme Day Spa

     

    Best Milkshakes:

    Schnackenberg’s Luncheonette

     

    Most Flexible Gluten-Sensitive Menu:

    Bin 14

     

    Best Dive Bar Turned Pretty Great Neighborhood Spot:

    The Ale House. Shuffle board, pool, + a jukebox. Yes.

     

    Best 1st Date Spot:

    The Turtle Club {Fancy enough, yet laid back and casual. Perfect.}

     

    Best Coffee:

    Anything @ City of Saints {formerly known as Red Lion Coffee}

     

    Best Wifi Spot:

    “MerciBeaucoup” is the PW at Chocopain French Bakery. Maybe I’m just obsessed with their croissants and egg sandwiches, but f’realz.

     

    Best Pizza:

    Tony Boloney’s. They know wassup ~ from Atlantic City. XL pies are the best.

     

    Best Bagels:

    JP’s Bagels downtown. So fresh.

     

    Breakout Star of the Year:

    UBER.

    • Solid list, especially the food portion! I’ve lived here for 3 years and I’m finally making my way through more of these places. I would say Anthony David’s is a close second for Best Brunch. Carpe Diem, Red Lion and The Cuban are definitely favorites.

      My personal favs are Johnny Pepperoni’s for pizza, and Dear Hannah for shopping.
