Post-Halloween week is always a rough one (for those of us who may or may not have partied too hard…) but the weekend is here once again! Time to unwind with one (or more) of these great events coming up! TGIF!!

An exhibition that will be open until November 30th, 9 Russian artists will be presented. Here is some info about the event and artists themselves: Russian Pavilion and Barsky Gallery present “9,” a group exhibition featuring paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints, photography, video installations and performances by nine artists. The show offers a diverse look into the current scope of the art world from the Eastern European perspective and the legacy it has left on our shared history. The artists range widely in age and country of origin and cover several generations of Nonconformist and contemporary artists, from Ernst Neizvestny (1925), Alexander Ney (1939) and Mihail Chemiakin (1943) to Sergey Dozhd (1965), Valery Yershov (1960), Ilya Levi (1980), Igor Molochevsky (1978), Artem Mirolevich (1976) and Nikolina Kovalenko (1987). Come see the month-long exhibit at Barksy Gallery at 49 Harrison Street.

2. Fall Craft Beer Fest featured by Liberty Humane Society — Saturday, November 8 at 1PM

Come gather at the Hoboken Elks Club this Saturday afternoon to taste some craft beers–while benefitting homeless animals who reside at the Liberty Humane Society in Jersey City. Over a dozen craft beers will be presented by Hunterdon Brewing. A donation of $30 is in advance {$35 at the door}, which will buy you your beer-tasting, along with tastings of various Hoboken and Jersey City restaurants. There will also be a homemade pie contest–any type of pie! If you would like to enter the contest, email jessica@libertyhumane.org with the type of pie you will make.

4. “Medium is the Message” Exhibit at Hob’Art Gallery Opening Saturday, November 8 at 6-8PM

ARTISTS: Meredeth Turshen, Ibou Ndoye, Miriam Untoria, Connie Ftera, France Garrido, Rich Roberts, Geraldine Gaines, Jean-Paul Picard, Tom Egan, Roslyn Rose, Jim Legge, Janet Kolstein, Carla Cubit, Jesse Ensling, Don Sichler, Starr Tucker Ortega, Alberte Bernier, Heather Williams, and Elizabeth R. 5. Hoboken Artists Studio Tour — Sunday, November 9 at Noon-6PM

The city of Hoboken presents a walking tour of Hoboken artists, with tour maps available at city hall. Over 100 local artists will be featured on the tour, so come support your local art scene and enjoy the exhibits! So much art in one square mile is sure to put some entertainment in your Sunday afternoon. A full list of the artists, plus a peek at the map, can be viewed here.
