    Free adoptions at Liberty Humane Saturday, May 31-Sunday, June 1

    Free adoption weekend is being held all over the country this weekend in conjunction with The Mayors Alliance for NYC’s Animals and Maddie’s Fund. LHS is participating for the second year in a row. Come pick a new furry friend!

    Jerseyfest 2014 at Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment Saturday, May 31 at 5-11PM

    Jerseyfest will take place from 5-11pm with free admission, showcasing the best food trucks in the area, along with New Jersey artisans, vendors and crafters. Other highlights include games and entertainment and special guests.

     California Chrome Jockey, Victor Espinoza, will make a special guest appearance, just one week before California Chrome attempts to become thoroughbred racing’s first Triple Crown winner since 1978. Espinoza will be at The Meadowlands beginning at 7:00pm and will be signing special California Chrome posters. He will also make an appearance on The Meadowlands television show and make a winners’ circle presentation.

     The wide selection of Jersey-centric food trucks includes Bacon on Wheels, Gorilla Cheese NYC, Lechon de Negron, The Thai Elephant, Dark Side of the Moo, Luke’s Lobster, Kona Ice, Wrap Star, Waffle de Lys, Empanada Guy, Incrediballs, Polkadot Cupcake, Sweet Spot Ice Cream, and The French Quarter.

    Henna Couture by Hayat at Hoboken Wellness Spa — Sunday, June 1st 3-6PM

    Renowned henna artist Hayat Gul will be at Hoboken Wellness Spa this Sunday to work on lucky clients! Refreshments, appetizers, and mini-spa treatments will be served. Pre-registration price is $20 and is $25 at the door. Hurry, space is limited!
