The HG team had the pleasure of going in for an IV and oxygen package and we were not disappointed by both the experience and results.

Located just steps away from the PATH and downtown hustle and bustle, co-owners {and New Jersey natives} Lauren Clancy and Dr. Jerald Vizzone envisioned a place where customers could come in for a pick-me-up without disrupting their weekend routine. Their other goal, according to Lauren, is “to revolutionize health and wellness in New Jersey and New York. We have been passionate about the benefits of intravenous therapy for most of our lives and are so excited to bring this to our home state and, most importantly, make it affordable and accessible for our clients.”

Decked out with a smooth white leather interior and comfy couches, the mobile spa is sleek, inviting, and clearly outfitted with top-of-the-line medical equipment so you know the treatment will be both comfortable and professional. The atmosphere is further enhanced by music playing in the background and the assuring presence of co-owner Lauren and the Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse on duty {our treatment was performed by the amazing Anna}. After filling out medical history and consent forms and getting the green light via FaceTime from Dr. Vizzone, we were ready to rock n’ roll.
First, Anna got us set up with the Oxygen Treatment, which was a small tube that wrapped around our ears and flowed oxygen into our nose—we didn’t even notice it after a minute or two. The treatment left us breathing easier and leaving with a clearer head, definitely giving both mind and body clarity. Next up, the IV treatment. IV+REVOLUTION offers a variety of options for IV solutions ranging from hangover and athletic recovery to weight loss and anti-aging. Their solutions are customizable to fit clients’ needs, and are offered in either a “half-bag” or “full-bag” of fluids, with each option varying in price and length of service.

The treatments we decided on were Immunity {one of us recovering from a case of bronchitis}, and Hangover {the other of us recovering from a night of over-indulging at Mulligans…} And we’ll be totally honest, most will be a little apprehensive about the whole needle aspect at first. However, with Anna’s gentle touch and Lauren’s comforting conversation, it was quick and nearly painless — promise. Once the IV is in, it’s smooth sailing from there. The prime location of the spa provides excellent people watching to pass the time {we saw a parade go by, complete with a band and fireworks + several people inquiring about IVs as well} and soon enough, we started to feel our respective hangover and sickness virtually melt away.
After about 45 minutes, our treatments were complete and our ailments {and fear of needles} were a thing of the past. The beauty of IV treatments is that the effects do not end when you step off the mobile spa — you’ll most like wake up the next day literally glowing from the inside out {and no, we’re not exaggerating}.
House Calls
If you want to get an IV in the comfort of your own home, the IV+REVOLUTION team is available for in-home house calls Monday through Friday and also able to do special events, corporate wellness, bachelor and bachelorette parties and private home events. In addition, clients can come to their Montclair location, which opens by appointment at 242 Claremont Avenue. Their mobile spa is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-7pm. Oh, and they offer in-home Botox parties for 5+ people if interested. We call that the ultimate convenience.
A note about safety:
If you’re wary of getting an IV for a non-medical reason, have no fear—each practitioner uses hospital grade sterilized products as well as Rx strength medications or vitamins in order to provide a safe and pleasurable experience for their clients. Lauren and Anna made sure we felt extremely comfortable and knowledgeable about the service before even beginning to take down our medical information. Not to mention, IV+REVOLUTION is owned by a board-certified physician and operated by licensed medical professionals who are all passionate about the health and wellness of their clients, consulting with each client before the start of his or her treatment.
