It was revealed today that someone purchased a $1 million winning lottery ticket that costs $2 {adding the Megaplier option for $1 per play increases non-jackpot winnings up to five times} in Hoboken’s Prime grocery store located at 98 Garden Street — the winner’s identity is unknown.
Patch reported, “A New Jersey Lottery spokesperson says that someone purchased the winning ticket for the Mega Millions Jackpot at Prime on Garden at 98 Garden Street. The second-tier prizewinning ticket was sold for the Jan. 12 drawing, and it matched five of the five white balls drawn, which means the person won a $1 million prize.”

However, the big jackpot is worth $750 million and the drawing will take place on Friday, January 15th.
Patch explained that there were nine third-tier prizewinning tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the gold ball, winning $10,000. Those tickets were purchased at the following locations:
- Atlantic County: New Farmers Market, 2732 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City
- Atlantic County: Shore True Value Hardware, 515 New Road, Somers Point
- Bergen County: Quick Chek #168, 156 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack
- Cumberland County: 7-Eleven #11007, 926 North High Street, Millville
- Essex County: Quick Chek #14, 501 Washington Avenue, Belleville
- Middlesex County: 7-Eleven #32210, 1280 Boundbrook Road, Middlesex
- Monmouth County: 7-Eleven #27769, 2145 Route 35, Holmdel
- Monmouth County: 6-12 Convenience Store, 1 South Main Street, Marlboro
- Morris County: Lincoln Center Liquors, 261 Comley Road, Lincoln Park
