While it’s not officially summer yet, the JT May memes are long gone, MDW came and went, and the first day of June is tomorrow, so we’re V close. To ring in June, we’ve got a bunch of fun events to put on your radar this weekend. Read on to see what’s happening in Hoboken and Jersey City this weekend {May 31st-June 3rd}.

Groove on Grove Artist & Maker Market: JCFridays Edition — Friday, June 1st

Snap Fitness JC

The Historic Downtown Special Improvement District will be hosting Groove on Grove {JCFridays edition}, a city-wide arts festival, THIS Friday, June 1st. There will be live performances and local vendors at the Grove Street PATH Plaza in Jersey City, as well as art from local artists displayed in galleries, stores, and restaurants around the city. There will also be alcoholic beverages available from some favorite Jersey City bars {South House, Talde, Porta, and Orale}. This event is hosted by Art House Productions and is held four times a year.

Hudson Yoga Project Summer Intensive Yoga Teacher Training Info Sessions — Thursday, June 7th + Saturday, June 9th

Hudson Yoga Project’s Summer Intensive Yoga Teacher Training runs from July 9th through August 3rd and is perfect for anyone looking to teach or to deepen their understanding of yoga. Students will learn how to teach creative, fun, and safe vinyasa style yoga classes from experienced teachers. There are two info sessions so those interested can learn more about it — Thursday, June 7th at 6:45PM and Saturday, June 9th at 2:00PM. Students can come get information on the program, payment plans, and meet the teachers. Enter in Hoboken Girl’s Cutest Hudson County Dad Contest — Accepting Submissions Until Sunday, June 3rd

Send a photo + brief description of dad to hobokengirlteam@gmail.com by this Sunday. Winner will get prizes from Spesh, Gravity Vault, Lutze Jersey City, and Acai Ya Later. Voting will begin next week. Good luck!

Call Me Old Fashioned at the W Hotel — Thursday, May 31st from 5:30PM-8:30PM

Head to the lawn outside the W Hotel of Hoboken {225 River Street} to enjoy signature cocktails from the ABSOLUT ELYX Mobile Bar while soaking in skyline views and listening to live music. The event is free, but you must RSVP. More info here.

Moms Demand Action Fundraiser at Northern Soul in Hoboken — Thursday, May 31st from 8:00PM-10:00PM

Join Moms Demand Action {for Gun Sense in America} at Northern Soul {700 1st Street at the Sky Club} for their first fundraising event that will include an open bar, appetizers, and 3 hours of free parking. Wine Dad’s Grand Opening Weekend — {June 1st through June 3rd}

Wine Dad’s is officially open at 1330 Willow Avenue in Hoboken {right next to Trader Joes} and they are celebrating all weekend with bubbly, craft beer, and local spirits.

Free Classes at Devotion360 {June 1st through June 7th}

Devotion360 {the relaunch of Devotion Yoga} is offering free classes June 1st through June 7th. Classes are offered inside both of Local Barre’s studios {uptown and downtown}. Sign up here.

Moms Demand Action Rally at Hoboken City Hall — Friday, June 1st from 4:00PM-5:00PM

Moms Demand Action is holding a ceremony and rally at Hoboken City Hall as Mayor Bhalla signs a proclamation recognizing National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Several survivors of gun violence will share their stories. RSVP here.

Glow Party at Black Bear Bar & Grill in Hoboken — Friday, June 1st

Head to Black Bear this Friday night for a Glow Party with face painting, and half-priced drinks starting at midnight. If you wear white, you get $3 domestic drafts and $4 house drinks.

Self Care for Your Shoulders & Neck at Wellness Lab Hoboken — Friday, June 1st from 5:30PM-6:30PM

This hour-long workshop will guide you through how to take care of your shoulders and neck to relieve soreness, tension, and aches. The workshop will be taught by yoga teacher and massage therapist, Erin Clyne and will take place at Wellness Lab at 36 Newark Street, Suite 301.

Beginner Yoga Flow + Restore at Wellness Lab Hoboken — Friday, June 1st from 6:45PM-7:45PM

This is the perfect yoga class for first-timers as you will be able to receive hands-on assistance from instructors. All levels are welcome whether you just want to relax or want to try yoga for the first time.

Moms Demand Action March Against Gun Violence — Saturday, June 2nd at 10:00AM

Members of the Hudson County Chapter will gather at Hoboken City Hall to travel together to the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge for the annual Moms Demand Action March across the bridge, followed by a rally in Manhattan. Reserve your spot here {+ get a t-shirt}.

Sugarsuckle Studio’s Grand Opening in Hoboken — Saturday, June 2nd from 11:00AM-6:00PM

Sugarsuckle officially has its own space in Hoboken {600 Newark Street} and owner Jennifer Choi is hosting a grand opening party to celebrate. Tour the space, purchase sweet treats, sign up for a workshop, and meet Jennifer herself.

NOH8 Photoshoot at W Hotel Hoboken —Saturday, June 2nd from 12:00PM-2:00PM

Nine on the Hudson’s Summer Block Party in West New York — Sunday, June 3rd from 12:00PM-4:00PM

Nine on the Hudson {located at 9 Avenue at Port Imperial in West New York} is unveiling its luxurious amenity deck this Saturday. The celebration will feature live music, refreshments, and food trucks {Milk Sugar Love, Cuban Express, Mozzareppas, + more}.

Jersey City Plant Exchange at Corgi Spirits — Sunday, June 3rd from 12:00PM-3:00PM

Hoboken Secret Gardens Tour — Sunday, June 3rd from 9:00AM-4:00PM

10 Hoboken homeowners will share their gardens and gardening secrets to support the Hoboken Historical Museum. This is a self-guided tour where you can visit each garden at your leisure. You can reserve your ticket in advance, then on the day of, stop at the museum to pick up your booklet which will contain a map, descriptions of each garden, and suggestions for brunch and lunch. Our Lady of Grace NiteFest — Saturday, June 2nd from 6:00PM-10:00PM

The parking lot next to Our Lady of Grace Church, {400 Willow Ave}, will be transformed into an outdoor Biergarten, where you can enjoy craft beers, sangria, music by DJ Tim Nelson, a variety of food, a tricky-tray {featuring Mets tickets}, a book sale, and games for both adults and children.
