Veronika Teaches Vocals provides private voice coaching for ages 8+ both in person and virtually. Local trainer Veronika has developed a program teaching techniques to help develop vocal freedom safely and without strain. Veronika spent 15 years mastering her own voice, first at Berklee College of Music and then with Atarah Hazzan where she received classical training. From now until September 12th, HG readers can receive three voice lessons for the price of one when they mention ‘Hoboken Girl’ when signing up via email. In-person lessons cost $130 for 3 lessons and will take place at Heidi’s Piano Studio at 317 Grove Street, #4 in Jersey City. 3 virtual lessons cost $100 and are taught via Facetime or Zoom.

The Laugh Tour at Dorrian’s Red Hand

Dorrian’s Red Hand located at 555 Washington Boulevard in Jersey City is hosting two comedy shows on Saturday, July 23rd at 6:30PM and 8:30PM. The Laugh Tour is hosted by comedian Rich Kiamco and will feature Rob Christensen from Comedy Central, Turner Sparks from Lost in America podcast, and other surprise guests. Show tickets purchased online in-advance of the show are $15 and are $20 day of and at the door with a 2 item minimum per person. Additional shows with other comedians will take place the rest of the year. (Please note, doors to exterior are ajar for ventilation and these indoor comedy events still require proof of vaccination with ID). Venue and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
