The Laugh Tour at Dorrian’s Red Hand

Dorrian’s Red Hand, located at 555 Washington Boulevard in Jersey City, is hosting two comedy shows on Saturday, April 2nd at 7:00PM and 9:00PM. This weekend, The Laugh Tour is guest-hosted by comedian Ed McGowan and will feature West End Comedy Festival’s Will Purpura, The Onion’s Meredith Dietz, and Conor Janda from The Boy’s Club. Show tickets purchased online in advance of the show are $15 and are $20 the day of and at the door with a 2 item minimum per person. Additional shows with other comedians to take place all of April. Please note, doors to the exterior are ajar for ventilation with a fireplace on the inside (indoor comedy events still require proof of vaccination with ID).

Whole Spectrum Autism’s 7th Annual Light the Month Blue event is happening this Friday, April 1st with the autism flag raising at 12:00PM followed by the lighting of the City Hall Plaza in blue at 7:00PM at City Hall, located at 280 Grove Street in Jersey City. The event kicks off Autism Awareness Month and gives families whose adult children with autism have aged out of support systems like schools, a chance to be recognized and receive the support they deserve.

True Mentors | Hoboken

True Mentors is Hoboken’s only one-to-one mentor program. The program matches children ages 7-17 with trained mentors. Volunteers are needed to serve as mentors and can sign up to be trained. Volunteers must be 18 years or older and must make at least a 1-year commitment to their mentee for a minimum of 8 hours per month. Learn more here.
