From fried chicken to barbecue to an upscale dog grooming salon, a variety of new businesses opened in Hoboken and Jersey City in 2022. Some of the businesses are New Jersey-based chains, others are an expansion of an existing business, while still others are brand new ventures. The beloved food truck opened a storefront in summer 2022, serving tortas and other traditional Mexican food. The shop’s concept is similar to a Mexico City-style taqueria, where customers eat their meals while standing at a bar inside the restaurant.
