• Hoboken Happy Hours: Week of October 6th {Drinking} Events

HobokenGirl.com is sooo excited to debut a new weekly feature that focuses all of the great spots to get your happy hour {and beyond} on. Meet HobokenHappyHours.com, who will be bringing you the best of the best of the drinking events of the week day by day, so you make sure you don’t miss a thing while you’re slaving away for the man.

    hoboken happy hours

Without further ado, because we know you’re thirsty, here’s HHH:

First of all, we want to thank Jen for being so open to letting us write on her awesome site.

Second of all, we want to thank you, the readers, for putting up with the antics that will soon be forthcoming.

The idea of this weekly feature is to focus strictly on Hoboken drinking events (what we like to think we do best). We will post every Monday from now until Taylor Swift stops singing about her ex-boyfriends.

Do us a favor and let us know in the comments below what you’d like to see more of as well as where we can improve in our delivery, after all, we are only “Hoboken Boys.” Don’t be afraid to yell at us {we can handle it} if we forgot an awesome event. Just let us know about the missed event in the comments so we can add it with a shout out to you — or email us at cheers@hobokenhappyhours.com.

We hope you had an awesome Sunday Funday — as we like to say, “Don’t let Monday ruin your Sunday.”

    Thursday – October 9th

    All Night Happy Hour @ Tally-Ho (Washington b/w 2nd and 3rd)

For those of you who haven’t been yet (where Bahama Mama’s was) it is worth a visit. ½ off the entire bar all night! I mean, come on. Not to mention, they have shuffleboard (similar to The Ale House) and if you Jersey Girls are at all familiar with a magical palace in Sea Girt, NJ by the name of Parker House, you know how important this bar activity is to so many of us in Hoboken.

    Friday – October 10th

Eddie Rodick: A Cleveland Polka Legend at Pilsener Haus Biergarten (14th & Grand)

It’s hard to argue against Oktoberfest being the best time of the year for beer lovers. Pilsener Haus does it right, as they should. You might be thinking “Really? Polka?” I can’t say I didn’t do the same my first time I contemplated being involved in any polka experience. Let me say right now, between (multiple) liters of bier and great Oktoberfest tunes, you’ll be shaking your hips before you know it. I’ll bet a liter on it.

    Saturday – October 11th

2nd Annual 6 Cups for a Cause – Charity Beer Pong Tournament @ Village Pourhouse (1st & Garden)

Benefitting Multiple Sclerosis, this event requires a donation of $50 per person which includes everything from raffle tickets to Happy Hour Prices for 4 hours. To RSVP, email 6cupsforacause@gmail.com by October 7th, 2014 (TOMORROW) with the following: Your Name, Your Partner’s Name, and Team Name.

Block Party Hosted by Turtle Club and 10th & Willow @ 10th b/w Park and Willow

Postponed due to weather last Saturday, this is one of your last chances to bask in the glory of day drinking outside. Happening from 12pm – 6pm, there will be an outdoor beer garden with BBQ and outdoor dining. Just because the temperature begins to drop, it doesn’t mean your mood has to.

Live music brought to you by Gravy Train! Have kids? Even better. There will be a bouncy castle, face painting, and a pumpkin patch.

World Series of Beer Pong Tournament @ The Shannon (1st & Bloomfield)

Win your chance to play for $50,000 in Las Vegas. Starts at 1pm with drink specials including $3 Domestic Pints, $5 Select Shots, $5 Devotion Vodka Drinks, and $10 Domestic Pitchers.

    Sunday – October 12th

NEW BAR ALERT: Smokin’ Barrel on 14th and Willow has 23 TVs and awesome BBQ to enjoy the games.

It’s Sunday Funday, I think you have today covered. In case you don’t, feel free to check out our favorite Hoboken brunch places and spots to watch the football games on HHH.

We hope this breakdown gives you a solid idea of where you and your friends might want to partake in some libations this week.If you can’t wait until Monday every week, feel free to follow us for real-time updates @HoboHappyHours on Twitter & Instagram and /HoboHappyHours on Facebook.
