With the weather cooling off don’t feel as though you have to stay inside and watch Supermarket Sweep reruns. Hoboken can be fully enjoyed all year long and we plan to make sure you know where to go. (Disclaimer: If you actually do find a way to watch Supermarket Sweep reruns, you better invite us over)
Very busy week ahead so feel free to print this out to reference and hang it next to your Sweaty Ryan Gosling poster.

HAPPY VETERANS DAY!
We want to sincerely thank all of the men and woman who are brave enough to put their lives on the line everyday to protect our freedoms we so often take for granted in this incredible country. If it wasn’t for you military personnel, I would not be able to have such a fun job in such a fun city and be able to share it with all you fun readers.
A Veteran’s Day Ceremony will be held at the World War II Memorial on Sinatra Drive.
Support Our Troops Specials @ Texas Arizona & Cadillac Cantina
Monday through Wednesday this week! Food and Drink Specials for Active & Retired members of the armed forces AND their families.
The All American T.A. Burger, Craft Beer Specials, and more!
Sangria Pitchers, Half Price Entrees, and more!
A Taste of Hoboken @ Steven’s Schaefer Athletic Center
If you’re a foodie, or just love eating (like me) you need to check this event out. $60 gets you access to over 40 local restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and more that will showcase their greatest eats. I know what you’re thinking, “Where is the drinking?” Have no fear, I would never lead you astray, there are also beers and wines from around the world to sample. If you’re feeling ready to really get it going, there is an $80 ticket that will get you into the Champagne Preview from 6-7pm.
Added bonus: All proceeds raised go to the Hoboken YMCA
Get your tickets here!
Wednesday – November 12th
Woodford Wednesday @ The Brass Rail
Try featured flights from Woodford Reserve and Double Oaked!
Be on the look out this week for our photos from the Woodford Competition that took place at Mill’s Tavern!
Thursday – November 13th
Friendsgiving Hoboken @ McLoone’s
With our powers combined, Hoboken Girl, Hoboken Happy Hours and a few others are partnering with The Digest to bring you one incredible event for two incredible causes.
Before you read on, make sure you buy your tickets! Trust me, you won’t regret it. Only 100 tickets were made available so if there are any tickets left, there are very few.
Did you buy them yet? Good. Now for the details…
Your ticket will get you into an awesome night of drinks, dinner, desserts, music, raffle prizes, and networking with other local Hoboken professionals. Proceeds go to HOPES Hoboken & Liberty Humane Society!
Covenant House Happy Hour @ The Ale House
Hoboken Happy Hours will be two places at once this Thursday (McLoone’s & The Ale House). Covenant House is close to our hearts, as some of our team members have been involved with this amazing organization to support homeless youth.
What: $15 Wristbands if bought online here. $20 if bought at the door.
All proceeds go directly to Covenant House.
Friday – November 14th
Moboken Movember Party @ Black Bear
What: $20 ($10 direct donation, 1 free drink, 2 raffle tickets, discounted drinks ($3 Domestic Drafts & $4 Well Drinks) & Free Appetizer Buffet (yes, please!))
The raffle will include awesome prizes from local business around Hoboken, Jersey City, and our big brother New York City. Some examples are a Coach handbag, New York Sports Club Membership passes and more!
If you decide not to do the AWESOME $20 deal (I don’t know who wouldn’t) you are welcome to participate in the raffle anyway outside of the deals.
Saturday – November 15th
Wines of France: Kermit Lynch Selections @ Court Street
Make sure you eat before this event! Court Street doesn’t serve lunch and you don’t want to turn into Miley Cyrus at the VMAs by your second glass of wine. The cheese and crackers served during the tasting will not be enough to keep you away from Robin Thicke
The tasting is from 1:45 – 4:00pm. Plenty of time to recover from your Friday night and plenty of time to still have to prepare for your Saturday night. Tickets are $34.90 ($27.95 + tax & $5.00 gratuity)
Sunday – November 16th
If you haven’t realized by now, football rules Hoboken on Sundays during the season. Not too many bars, if any at all, have special events happening on Sunday because their locations are already crowded from wild football fans, so get out there and enjoy the football season while you still can!
Hoboken Football Specials are here!
